• AEW Dynamite vs. TNA iMPACT Could Be Coming Soon
TNA has officially launched its media rights negotiations, with its weekly show TNA iMPACT now up for grabs. President Carlos Silva, working alongside Creative Artists Agency, confirmed to The Takedown on SI that the rights are valued between $7 million and $10 million per year, and that interest has been growing across multiple distribution platforms.
Despite August typically being a quiet time for media deals, this year is an exception. Major movements in the wrestling and MMA world – WWE’s exclusive agreement with ESPN/Disney for PPVs starting in 2026, and TKO’s massive $7.7 billion deal with Paramount for UFC – are raising the bar.
Silva noted that this flurry of activity has created “positive momentum” heading into more in-depth talks later this month, aiming for a finalized agreement around TNA’s Bound for Glory event in October.
Amid the rumor mill, The CW and A&E are the most frequently mentioned contenders to host TNA’s content. The CW already airs WWE’s NXT, while A&E carries WWE-produced documentaries – making them familiar turf for wrestling programming. Though Silva didn’t officially confirm either network, he acknowledged both are real negotiation participants, and he didn’t dismiss the possibility of TNA airing on a WWE-associated channel.
One drastic change being floated – though not finalized – is a potential shift of iMPACT from Thursdays to Wednesday nights, directly confronting AEW Dynamite.
Speculation also surrounds WWE’s role in the talks. While some believe WWE might have undue influence, Silva clarified that their involvement remains within the bounds of talent exchange and cross-promotion, a relationship that intensified throughout 2025.

• Shocking Clause In WWE – TNA Partnership Revealed
Rumors are brewing across the wrestling industry that TNA Wrestling may be on the verge of a sale – possibly to a familiar face – while new disclosure casts a surprising shadow over who holds the real power in any deal.
Speculation has emerged suggesting Lorenzo Fertitta – co-founder of UFC and now closely tied to TKO Group, WWE’s parent company – may be eyeing a purchase of TNA. While these claims remain unverified, Fightful Select reported Fertitta’s involvement surfaced during recent meetings. This chatter began after a GIF posted by Conrad Thompson, simply captioned “Lorenzo!”, fueled buzz among insiders about Fertitta’s possible interest.
The timing aligns intriguingly with TNA exploring a move to Wednesday nights, positioning itself head-to-head with AEW Dynamite as part of its ongoing media rights renewal strategy. TNA President Carlos Silva declined to confirm or deny the rumors, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the situation.
This latest murmur isn’t unprecedented. In the past, TNA has seen multiple parties explore ownership – Scott D’Amore reportedly tried to buy it, and in 2016 Billy Corgan’s attempt failed, leading Anthem Sports to take control. AEW’s Tony Khan was also rumoured to be approached about buying the promotion before AEW’s inception, though he reportedly passed on the opportunity, deeming the value unconvincing since many TNA veterans are tied to ROH content rights.
If Fertitta – or any buyer – does step in, a twist awaits: WWE may already hold the cards. The Wrestling Observer reports that the partnership between WWE and TNA includes a clause granting WWE the right of first refusal – meaning if TNA sells, WWE has the opportunity to match any competing offer. Additionally, WWE supposedly has a time-bound option to outright purchase TNA.
