• Fan Asks John Cena What He Would’ve Done With His Heel Turn Had He Known The Rock Wasn’t Going To Follow Up

During a Q&A session at FAN EXPO Chicago, John Cena was asked about a hypothetical situation regarding his heel turn. A fan inquired how Cena would have approached his character’s shift if he had known that The Rock wasn’t going to follow up on the storyline.

Cena dismissed the hypothetical question, stating that dwelling on “what if” scenarios is a “waste of time.” He emphasized the importance of focusing on the present, and the “excitement and adventure” of the current moment.

Cena pointed out that there are still 11 dates left in his ongoing WWE retirement tour and that they would be able to discuss all the details in January 2026, after he has retired. He expressed his enthusiasm for the rest of the year, noting that they had already taken the audience on a “hell of a ride.”

Here’s what the 17-time World Champion said:

“What I’m hearing is in a hypothetical universe what different choices would you make? I will answer that with hindsight, it’s a waste of time. We must live right here and now in the excitement and adventure, we got 11 dates left.

After we’ll be able to talk about all this bupkis in January after the whole thing is over, but we’ve taken the audience on a hell of a ride this year and we still got a ways left to go, so I’m excited about that.”

• Brock Lesnar Turned Down Shane McMahon’s Request At Royal Rumble 2022

At Royal Rumble 2022, Brock Lesnar lost the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley after interference from Roman Reigns. Later in the night, Lesnar entered the Men’s Royal Rumble match at #30 and won.

Backstage at this event, Shane McMahon asked Lesnar if he could pick The Beast up for a spot during this match, and Lesnar turned Shane O’Mac down.

Here’s what Riddle said about this situation during an interview with TMZ:

“I remember being in that locker room because there’s a bunch of people, Shane McMahon, a bunch of people were there. We had different ideas and plans and dude [Brock Lesnar] came in and was like, ‘I just did business for Bobby Lashley. You guys are all going to do business for me.’

And then Shane McMahon mentioned and asked if he could pick him up for a spot and Brock just looked down like, ‘No.'”

Riddle then bragged about how can lift anyone up in the ring:

“I can actually pick Brock up, but I’m not going to. I can pick anybody up, bro. I dealt with German suplex. Keith Lee. He’s like 350, bro.”
