At last night’s KnokX Pro’s show, an indy promotion operated by WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, Raja Jackson (son of former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson) attacked an indy wrestler named Syko Stu and knocked him out with several punches, which led to the rest of the locker stopping and attacking Raja.
You can watch it below:
Before the event, Syko smashed a beer can on Raja’s head to work an angle:

However, when Raja didn’t like it, Syko apologized to him and Raja accepted his apology.
Syko Stu thought Raja was a wrestler, the beer can was empty and didn’t hit his head fully. He apologised 3 times, they talked it out and shook hands.
Raja still proceeded to slam this man unconscious and hit him with 22 shots to the chin until blood came from his ears. pic.twitter.com/o41uMEV08g

KnokX Pro Entertainment & Academy issued the following statement:
“First and foremost our thoughts and prayers are with our brother Mr. Stuart Smith (Syko Stu) as he remains a priority and we are monitoring his well being.
What was supposed to be a planned and agreed upon wrestling spot, turned into a selfish, irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith. This egregious act is reprehensible and never should have occurred.
In the 17 years of operation of KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, there has never been anything as heinous take place such as this and we apologize to our patrons and fans.”
WWE Superstar Rusev tweeted the following about this situation:
“I’ve known and trained with @SykoStu for 15 years. He is a former US Army veteran and amazing guy. There are no excuses for what happened in that ring. Praying for strong Kick out.”
Rampage Jackson issued the following statement regarding this incident:
“I want to clear up the misinformation about my son Raja. I’ve been confirmed that the wrestler (Stewart Smith aka Syko Stu) is awake and stable. Raja was unexpectedly hit in the side of the head by him moments before Smith’s match, Raja was told that he could get his ‘payback’ in the ring, i thought it was a part of the show.
It was bad judgement, and a work that went wrong. Raja is a MMA fighter not a pro wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this. I don’t condone my son’s actions AT ALL!
He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, im deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith.
That being said I’m very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery. I apologize on his behalf and to KICK for the situation.”
Syko Stu has shared his story in the past. He is a former Army veteran that deals with his PTSD by using pro wrestling as a way to escape his personal struggles. Below is a photo of Syko:

Below are some comments from fans under Rampage’s statement:
“What ‘misinformation’ is there to excuse this?”
“Stable, aka eating through a straw for the rest of his life.”
“Raja almost murdered a veteran. Sickening!!”
“I watched the video, that boy is going to prison…”
“No excuses for that unfortunately, I feel your pain as a father.”
“broooo which part of that looked like a part of the show????????????”
“Should have done a better job as a father! Now your son is going to prison!”
“That guy looked dead and looked like he suffered a skull fracture and hematoma… thats some serious stuff.”
“He should be in prison. And he will be. Absolutely disgusting.”
“No one expects your son to act like a grown man.”
“NOTHING JUSTIFIES THAT BEATDOWN, NOTHING!!”
“He should go to prison for assault and battery. Stop acting as if he’s a child, he’s a grown man who knew exactly what he was doing. Do better UNC!”
“Your son is going to JAIL and for a very long time. There is no misinformation. That is attempted murder. Prayers to Stewart Smith.”
“Your son was out of control and there is no excuse for what he did (continue to do). He really should be examined and maybe he isn’t fit to fight ever again. You as a MMA fighter know that he would have killed him if they didn’t hold him back with multiple people for minutes! Help your son by being honest about what happened and you (your son) please do the right thing.”
“first fighter to pass down CTE to his son.”
