On the latest edition of the Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki Bella raised an issue with Wade Barrett’s comments about her at WWE Clash In Paris. The former Intercontinental Champion questioned if she belonged among today’s pool of female talents and the progress of the Women’s division since the Divas era.

Nikki claimed that Barrett avoided her on the RAW after Clash In Paris. This was denied by the British star. He later revealed in a tweet that the two had smoothed things over:

“Great news, fight fans.. Nikki Bella and I have spoken, we’ve smoothed things over, and I’ve graciously been allowed back into the Bella Army. Fully paid-up member since FCW 2008.

A difference of perspective – to which we are all entitled – but to be clear, some of the personal abuse that gets sent to Nikki on here is reprehensible and completely out of line, so let’s cut that out immediately.”

This has now been confirmed by Nikki Bella, who tweeted:

“lol yes great news! Sorry been off X this week. Thank you Stu!!! This all has been so wild!! Sorry for not coming to you first before chatting with Brie on the pod. Was not expecting any of this. You know how much love I have for you and loved our chat! So excited for you! Enjoy that well deserved time off!”

Reports surfaced online earlier today stating that Wade Barrett was taken off WWE commentary. This sparked speculation about him having heat with people backstage because of his issues with Nikki.

However, he denied the reports and revealed that his time off had been planned a while ago and it has nothing to do with the WWE Hall of Famer:

“I usually ignore BS reports like this, but it’s causing needless hate to be spewed towards people I work with.

WWE have kindly given me a couple of weeks off for personal time (booked nine months ago), and then I’m back to business as usual. A complete non-story. The end.”
