• “You can’t be like The Rock” – Former WWE Star On Shawn Michaels Continuously Berating Him

Shawn Michaels was a top talent and a locker room leader during his days as a pro wrestler, but he was also known to cause problems at times for his colleagues.

One name The Heartbreak Kid was apparently not a fan of was Maven.

Speaking on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Maven recalled his experiences with Michaels and said that he was continuously berated by the DX leader.

“I don’t know if it was an issue. As far as obviously, I was never going to be on Shawn’s level. You’re Shawn freaking Michaels. But every time I would go out and do anything, and mostly it was when he and I were tagging together, we would get backstage and obviously, if I’m doing a philosophy seminar and I got Aristotle beside me, I’m gonna want to ask him afterwards, did I get anything wrong? Tell me. How can I be better?

So I’m like that with Shawn, and he would berate me backstage, ‘Man, you can’t be like The Rock. Everything you try to do looks like you’re trying to be like The Rock.’ And if it was, then it was subconscious. I think we idolize people, so we then emulate people. I wouldn’t mean to, but yeah, he shook my hand because he had to, not because he wanted to.”

• Update On Liv Morgan’s WWE Status

Liv Morgan has been been out of action since suffering a dislocated shoulder back in June. She is expected to miss in-ring action for the remaining part of 2025, and will likely return in the starting months of 2026.

Bodyslam+ is reporting that the former Women’s World Champion was present at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, last week, where she was rehabbing her injury.

There is no word on where The Judgment Day member is physically right now, but if the initial timeline is correct, then she would be at the halfway mark at this stage.

• Former WWE/AEW Star Was Diagnosed With Skin Cancer Recently

Maria Kanellis, known to wrestling fans for her time in WWE, AEW and ROH, recently shared a health update with her followers on X. The 42-year-old star revealed she recently had surgery to remove early-stage skin cancer.

Below is what she tweeted:

“PSA: get your moles checked!!! I had type 0 skin cancer removed today after a previous biopsy came back cancerous. Feeling very blessed; they caught it so early, but definitely exhausted. I will have a beautiful 3-inch scar on my leg. It’s been an interesting few years. They marked it with an eye before surgery to apparently keep away bad spirits.”

This is just the latest health hurdle for Kanellis, who previously underwent thyroid surgery and had a benign adrenal tumor removed. She’s also currently expecting her third child with husband and fellow wrestler Mike Bennett.

• WWE Plans To Hit AEW Hard In 2026

WWE has counterprogrammed AEW numerous times since the Jacksonville-based promotion came into existence, and the company is reportedly looking to take a more aggressive approach in 2026.

Recent reports indicate that WWE does not plan to counterprogram AEW for the rest of 2025. However, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer revealed that there have been “a lot of discussions” about ramping up those efforts next year.

According to Alvarez, WWE plans to move shows and even run extra events to make sure AEW programming doesn’t go unopposed.

This month, WWE will hold Wrestlepalooza on the same day as AEW All Out, which led Tony Khan to change the time of one of his biggest annual pay-per-view events.
