• The Miz Takes A Shot At Top AEW Star Before Wrestlepalooza
The rivalry between The Miz and Bryan Danielson is still very much alive, even though they’re in different companies.
While speaking on Road To Wrestlepalooza on ESPN today, The Miz brought up Bryan Danielson and referenced the times AEW star criticized the way he wrestles.
“I’ve had people tell me that I have a safe way of wrestling. But that person is no longer here anymore, so we don’t need to talk about him.”

This was a clear callback to their infamous Talking Smack segment in 2016. During that episode, Danielson, then serving as SmackDown General Manager, called Miz’s style “soft” and “safe.” The A-Lister went off in a passionate rant that became one of the most talked-about moments of his career.
Their rivalry goes back to the early days of NXT, where Miz was Danielson’s assigned “pro.” The two men never saw eye-to-eye as Miz leaned into his character-driven style, while Danielson focused on pure wrestling.
