• Backstage News on WWE’s Broken WrestleMania Promises

WWE has its WrestleMania plans set for the next two years, but questions remain for several other cities that had been linked to hosting the event.

WrestleMania will take place in Las Vegas in 2026 and Saudi Arabia in 2027, with no other host sites officially confirmed beyond those shows.

New Orleans was originally announced as the host of WrestleMania 42 in 2026, but that spot was shifted to Las Vegas. WWE sources told Fightful Select that New Orleans will still host WrestleMania at some point in the future, though no date has been finalized. One source familiar with the city’s agreement with WWE admitted skepticism, saying they’d “believe it when they see it.”

Indianapolis signed an agreement in 2024 that guaranteed the city would host a Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and WrestleMania. While that deal remains in place, sources in the city said they have “no clue” when they will actually receive a WrestleMania.

For now, Minneapolis has SummerSlam 2026, which pushes Indianapolis’ earliest shot at another PLE to SummerSlam 2027 (WWE already did Royal Rumble 2025 in Indianapolis). Still, the relationship between Indianapolis and WWE is said to be positive, especially after the successful Wrestlepalooza event that took place in the city this month.
