WWE has officially announced that John Cena’s final match will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, headlining Saturday Night’s Main Event at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The event comes at the conclusion of Cena’s year-long farewell tour, which included marquee appearances at WrestleMania 41 and SummerSlam.
The 17-time World Champion will close out his legendary career in partnership with Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the nation’s capital, and Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
“John’s contributions to WWE are immeasurable. There are no words that can truly relay how much he means to this business,” said WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. “Together with our partners at Events DC and Capital One Arena, we look forward to honoring his legacy and delivering an unforgettable send-off for both John and the WWE Universe.”

Tickets for Saturday Night’s Main Event will go on sale Friday, October 17 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster, with an exclusive presale starting Wednesday, October 15 at 10 a.m. ET.
In addition, WWE and Events DC will host several fan-focused events around Cena’s farewell, including:
– A live episode of Six Feet Under with The Undertaker at The Howard Theatre on December 12.
– The official WWE Superstore at Gallery Space DC, featuring exclusive John Cena “Final Match” merchandise.
– Community-driven initiatives celebrating Cena’s impact.
Premium Saturday Night’s Main Event Passes are also available via WWE’s partner On Location, offering fans ringside seating, Superstar appearances, ringside photo opportunities, and more.
Saturday Night’s Main Event: John Cena’s Final Match will air live in primetime exclusively on Peacock.
