• RAW Star Has Re-Signed With WWE After Tense Negotiations
RAW Superstar Xavier Woods is staying with WWE. According to Fightful Select, The New Day member recently agreed to a multi-year contract extension with the company after negotiations that came right down to the wire.
Woods’ previous deal was set to expire in September 2025, but both sides were able to finalize a new agreement just before the deadline, ending what had been described as a tense negotiation period.
A cornerstone of WWE’s modern tag team division, Woods is a former King of the Ring winner and one of the most decorated tag team competitors in company history. Alongside Kofi Kingston and Big E, he helped turn The New Day into one of the most successful and beloved factions of all time, with multiple tag team title reigns across RAW, SmackDown, and NXT.
Outside the ring, Woods has also been a major part of WWE’s digital growth. He’s the driving force behind the gaming and entertainment brand UpUpDownDown, which is nearing 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube and continues to be a bridge between WWE talent and mainstream gaming culture.
There’s currently no update on the contract status of Kofi Kingston. Back in 2019, all three members of The New Day reportedly signed matching deals. However, due to various injuries suffered by the group over the past few years, it’s unclear whether additional time was added to any of those contracts.
While those details remain unconfirmed, Woods’ extension ensures that at least one-third of The New Day’s legacy remains firmly tied to WWE for the foreseeable future.

During her appearance on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, Scarlett Bordeaux opened up about her and Karrion Kross’ recent WWE exit – revealing what she described as a “misogynistic” approach to how her contract was handled.
Scarlett explained that when contract talks began earlier this year, WWE officials allegedly told Kross that they would “get to her once they were done with him.” She felt this indicated that her value to the company depended solely on whether Kross agreed to a new deal.
According to Scarlett, this attitude was especially frustrating because she was actually hired by WWE before Kross back in 2019. She said it was disheartening to feel like her career was treated as leverage in his negotiations.
She added that it felt like history repeating itself, recalling that she was once cleared to return to TV but told to stay home while Kross was on RAW. To her, the message was clear – that she was seen as secondary despite their proven chemistry together in NXT.
Scarlett emphasized that the situation left her feeling disrespected, calling it one of several red flags that led to their decision not to re-sign.

During an interview on The Pat McAfee Show today, The OTC said the following about his condition ahead of the PLE:
“I feel like crap. My body does not feel good. I was down there [in Australia to film the Street Fighter movie] not too long ago. The flight back and forth has not been nice. I’ve been jet-lagged for, I feel like, four weeks in a row now.
So why not just go down there and try to kill myself? It is what it is. We’re going to go head against the wall – Goldberg style – just reckless abandon.
You can’t do much worse than I feel now so let’s just go mess it up physically.”

WWE is reportedly planning creative team changes behind the scenes in an effort to enhance the overall quality and presentation of their shows, according to Bodyslam.
The company is looking to expand SmackDown’s writing and production staff, with the goal of making the show “more enjoyable” for viewers moving forward.
Road Dogg (Brian James) will continue in his current role as Head of Creative for SmackDown, where he has been overseeing storylines and segment planning since taking over creative duties a couple of years ago. While his position remains secure, WWE intends to add new members to the team to bring fresh perspectives and balance to the creative process.
The move is said to be part of WWE’s ongoing internal strategy to streamline its creative structure, strengthen week-to-week storytelling, and ensure both main roster brands, RAW and SmackDown, maintain strong viewer engagement as the company heads into 2026.
Insiders suggest the changes are focused less on replacing leadership and more on improving consistency and energy in the product, especially after recent episodes have drawn mixed feedback for pacing and segment flow.
