• Major Indication That Chris Jericho May Leave AEW

Chris Jericho has not appeared on AEW television since the April 9th episode of Dynamite, where he voiced frustration towards Big Bill and Bryan Keith following his loss of the ROH World Championship.

Rumors have been circulating that Jericho’s contract with AEW is set to expire in December 2025. Amid these reports, he fueled speculation about a potential return to WWE by interacting with a post suggesting he could be “open to returning.”

In a recent interview, the former AEW World Champion also said that he wouldn’t be opposed to a WWE return.

Speculation over Y2J’s AEW future has grown after he began promoting talent for his November 2026 cruise. Notably, there is no mention of AEW matches or roster members, which is unusual compared to previous years.

While the event is still a year away, with Jericho’s AEW contract expected to expire later this year, it could be a hint that he’s on his way out of the Jacksonville-based company.

However, nothing can be said for sure yet, as this could also be a way to keep fans guessing.

There are some big names being advertised for Chris Jericho’s 2026 cruise, including WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase, Saraya (fka Paige), Jeff Hardy, Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler) and The Great Muta.

• WWE Cut NXT Star’s Salary By $200,000 & Didn’t Pay Extra For TNA Appearances

Ridge Holland is set to leave WWE next month after learning that his contract will not be renewed. Holland, who recently underwent surgery for a Lisfranc injury, confirmed that his current deal will officially expire on November 14, while he remains sidelined from in-ring competition for several months.

A previous report from the Wrestling Observer revealed that Holland had been working under an NXT-level contract after moving back to the developmental brand. His earnings were significantly lower than main roster pay, which WWE is not willing to cover while he’s injured.

A new update from Fightful Select has provided more details on Holland’s contractual situation. The outlet confirmed that Holland was signed to an “NXT money” deal rather than a higher-value main roster contract.

They also reported that the former NXT Tag Team Champion’s original main roster contract ran until November 2024. When that deal came up for renewal, WWE offered him a one-year extension at around $200,000 less than his previous agreement, which he accepted. That short-term deal is now approaching its expiration.

It was also noted that Holland wasn’t being paid extra by WWE for his work in TNA.

Several wrestlers within WWE are disappointed with how the company has handled the situation. A veteran stated that something like this would have “never happened” before the pandemic.

• Seth Rollins Undergoing Surgery, Expected to be Out for Several Months

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE superstar Seth Rollins is scheduled for an immediate shoulder surgery for a legitimate injury. The operation is expected to keep Rollins out of action for a minimum of several months.

The Observer further confirms the previous reports that the injury occurred during Rollins’ match against Cody Rhodes this past Saturday. As many had suspected, Rollins was hurt while attempting a risky “coast-to-coast” head-butt maneuver, landing directly on his shoulder.

The injury instantly changed the company’s creative direction, forcing the creatives to rush Reed and Breakker into position as the top heels on the RAW brand.

According to the report, those in WWE creative confirmed that while the WrestleMania 42 card is not finalized, the major plan was for Rollins to be in one of the biggest matches of the show: a showdown against Roman Reigns, which seems derailed now.

We wish Seth the best with his upcoming surgery and hope he has a speedy recovery!
