• Ex-Royal Rumble Winner Could Leave WWE For AEW Next Year
Bayley signed with WWE in 2012 and quickly became one of the Four Horsewomen of the company for her contributions to the Women’s division. Since moving to the main roster in 2016, she has been one of the top female stars in the company.
After spending more than 13 years with the company, there’s now a legitimate chance that Bayley could leave WWE once her current contract expires in late 2026.
During a recent Fightful Select Q/A, Sean Ross Sapp mentioned that The Role Model could join AEW when her deal is up. This possibility has grown stronger because of her close friendship with AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks).
Earlier this year, Bayley spoke to Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT and hinted that her time with WWE may be winding down, saying she has already accomplished most of what she wanted to do in the promotion.
“I have so many other things I want to make it into. I have a year and a half left on this current contract, so we’ll see what happens then.
(Chris asked and then what?) Man, I don’t know. I think I’ve done everything I really want to do, not everything. There’s still a lot I want to get done, but done so much with WWE and I’ve been here for already 12 years and there’s a huge wave of women coming in that I think are ready to take over, ready to be in those spots. I might be done in a couple of years, who knows?”
Bayley teamed up with Lyra Valkyria to defeat Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez of The Judgment Day on RAW in Perth.
• WWE Star Is Dying To Have Babies
Chelsea Green was released by WWE in the spring of 2021 after a lackluster run in the company. She was brought back by Triple H during the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
Speaking to Woman’s World, the former Women’s United States Champion revealed that she was planning to have a baby with her husband Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder) prior to her WWE return. They put the plan on hold when WWE called.
“We put it on pause when I was asked to come back to WWE. This was an opportunity we both knew we could not turn down. If I turn it down, I’m going to end up having kids and resent the family life.
So here I am. I’m 34. I’m dying for babies. My husband wants babies… but duty calls. I’m making money. I’m living my dream.
But hey, you never know. In a couple months, if it happens, God willing, it happens. I’ll just have to take my babies on the road with me.”
Green became the inaugural Women’s United States Champion last year and got to have her dream match against WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella earlier this year.
