• AEW Wrestlers Are Frustrated With How The Company Is Run, Claims WWE Hall Of Famer
AEW has faced its share of internal challenges since its launch six years ago. While many wrestlers have praised Tony Khan as a passionate and dedicated promoter, some were not happy with their time in the company.
WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley recently spoke with VideoGamerCom and revealed that several wrestlers in the Jacksonville-based promotion are frustrated about how certain people within the company make key decisions instead of Tony Khan.
“There’s just certain things about the organization. I love the talent. I think the talent is great. There’s no question about that, but there’s a feeling that certain people in the organization that call the shots, I’m not a big fan of them. And Tony Khan lets that happen.
I’ve got nothing against AEW as a company. I’ve got nothing against Tony Khan. I just don’t like the way the organization is run. And that’s about it.
Again, I’ve got friends in AEW. I’ve met new people at autograph signings, like Will Ospreay, who is a great guy, and a lot of the talent in AEW have the same frustration that I see.
They just wish that certain people wouldn’t be calling the shots and that Tony would take more control, but yet give it to somebody that knows what they’re doing.”

During his conversation with The Ariel Helwani Show, Raven revealed that he stopped watching professional wrestling altogether during WWE’s 2001 Invasion storyline.
Raven explained that the storyline, which merged WCW and ECW talent under the WWF umbrella, was so poorly executed and creatively frustrating that it killed his passion for watching the product. Despite being part of the company at the time, he felt disenchanted by how WWE “wasted incredible talent” and failed to live up to the hype of what could have been wrestling’s biggest crossover event.
He admitted that while he continued to wrestle professionally, he no longer had the enthusiasm to tune in at home. “I loved doing it, but I didn’t want to watch it,” he said.
Raven added that he has always been a completist – someone who needs to follow every storyline fully – but with the overwhelming amount of weekly wrestling content, it became impossible to keep up. Over time, his interest faded completely.
He also mentioned that he briefly watched AEW when it launched in 2019, but it didn’t reignite his passion. These days, Raven spends more time watching MMA, saying he’s a “religious” follower of the sport and prefers its realism over the scripted world of wrestling.

WWE Survivor Series 2025 will take place at Petco Park in San Diego, California on Saturday, November 29. The main event of this PLE will once again be the Men’s WarGames Match.
Earlier this month, the Wrestling Observer reported that the following Men’s WarGames match was the plan:
Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu, and a 5th member (LA Knight OR Jimmy Uso) vs. Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Austin Theory
Due to Seth Rollins’ injury, plans have changed, but not much.
In an update from the Observer, the WarGames match will feature a team led by Roman Reigns and CM Punk to take on a team led by The Vision’s Bron Breakker and “Big” Bronson Reed.
