RAW Results – 2 Returns, Big John Cena Update

Below are the results from tonight’s RAW, featuring the returns of Logan Paul and Rey Mysterio, and an update on John Cena’s Last Time Is Now tournament.

– New World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk kicked off tonight’s WWE RAW and thanked the fans and his wife, AJ Lee, for always having his back. He hoped he can remain friends with Jey Uso, although he won’t cry about it if they can’t. Punk said he returned to WWE to make money and become champion, which he is now. Punk then wished Seth Rollins a speedy recovery and swung the World Title in the way Rollins does. Punk said if Rollins returns and goes for his title, he will put him back on the shelf. The Best in the World said he wants to be a fighting champion because he wants to punch a lot of people in the face, but also because he wants to test himself against a lot of people, some of the best this company has to offer, like AJ Styles, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, Sheamus, and John Cena. Punk said he knows Cena is busy and has very less time left in the WWE, and if Cena wants to be an 18-time World Champion, then he can come get some, because the champ is here.

Logan Paul then came out. The Social Media megastar has returned. This is his first appearance on WWE programming since his loss to Cena at Clash In Paris on August 31st. Punk said he wants to be fighting champion, but he’ll face anyone but Logan. Punk told Logan to go to SmackDown and face Ilja Dragunov in the United States Championship open challenge. Paul said Punk mentioned he wants to face AJ Styles – he beat AJ Styles at WrestleMania 41. Paul Heyman then came out with Bron Breakker and “Big” Bronson Reed. Heyman called Punk a “b*tch without an owner” and Logan “Mr. YouTube”. Heyman said the front of the line belongs to the future of WrestleMania – Bron Breakker, and the man who pinned Roman Reigns – “The OTT” Bronson Reed. Logan said he was here first and that The Vision should’ve been faster. Breakker congratulated Punk, but “The Dog” is coming for what belongs to him. Breakker threatened to beat up both Punk and Logan. Punk said Logan better team up with him to fight The Vision or get the hell out of the ring. Logan decided to leave the ring and Breakker shoved him down. The Vision then attacked Punk. Logan decided to fight the Brons with Punk. Bronson hit Logan with the Tsunami. Punk then fought off The Vision with a steel chair.

– Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez) def. Nikki Bella and Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer

Roxanne pinned the WWE Hall of Famer again.

– CM Punk met Jey Uso backstage. Jey said he appreciates their battle on Saturday Night’s Main Event and wants to help Punk. Punk asked if he can trust Jey. Jey said he can and he wants to help because if he had won the World Title, then The Vision would’ve attacked him, and they are not going to stop. Punk appreciates the help.

– Penta def. El Grande Americano

Los Americanos tried to attack Penta after the match, but Penta outsmarted them.

– In a vignette, Kabuki Warriors said what they did last week was just a small taste of what they can do. Asuka told Bayley to walk away, as her kindness won’t last forever. Asuka said they’ll do whatever it takes to prove they are the most dominant tag team in WWE today.

– Rusev said he wants to avenge the greatest defeat of his career by defeating John Cena.

– WWE Intercontinental & AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio said no man can stop him and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio made his return.

Rey said he has a problem with Dirty Dom calling himself the “King of the Luchadores.” Fans started singing “Dirty Dom.” Mysterio asked what about El Santo, Blue Demon, and Eddie Guerrero? Dom said:

“You keep my father’s name out of your mouth. And yes, I’m better than him.”

Dom said he is also better than Rey Mysterio. Rey said Dom can disrespect him, but he won’t let him disrespect Lucha Libre. Dom asked what Rey is going to do – he already stole his mustache. Dom said he made the Mysterio name relevant and has already surpassed everything Rey has accomplished. Dom told Rey to get out of his ring.

Rey said as long as he’s around, Dom will never be the King of the Luchadores, this will never be your ring, and he will never be the greatest Mysterio.

Dom tried to attack Rey, but Rey fired back. Rey hit the 619 and was going for the Splash, but Dominik managed to escape.

– Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch said the only good thing to come out of New Mexico is a show about how much meth they do, and warned Maxxine Dupri that one wrong move and she will end her career.

– The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) def. Lyra Valkyria and Bayley

Asuka made Lyra tap out. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair made the save after the match.

– In a backstage segment with Judgment Day, Roxanne Perez revealed that Raquel Rodriguez will face Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship on next week’s RAW.

– AJ Styles and Dragon Lee (c) def. Judgment Day (Finn Balor and JD McDonagh) to retain the World Tag Team Championship

Dominik Mysterio tried to cause distraction, but AJ sent Finn crashing into Dom. Dom tried to hit AJ with the Intercontinental Title, but Sheamus took him out.

– Nikki Bella apologized to Stephanie Vaquer because their loss tonight is the reason Stephanie has to defend the Women’s World Title against Raquel Rodriguez next week. Stephanie said that’s not the case and put over Nikki.

– Paul Heyman tried to get in Jey Uso’s head before tonight’s main event.

– Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against The Kabuki Warriors on next week’s RAW.

– For next week’s RAW, Adam Pearce announced two first round matches for John Cena’s “The Last Time Is Now” tournament:

Nick Aldis will announce more on SmackDown. John Cena will appear on next week’s RAW in Boston, which will be his final WWE appearance in Boston.

– World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and Jey Uso vs. The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed) ended in a Double Count-Out

The Vision destroyed Jey after the match with multiple spears and a Tsunami. Punk brought in a steel chair and so did The Vision. Logan Paul then showed up with brass knuckles to back up Punk, but he knocked out Punk! Logan then handed the brass knuckles to Paul Heyman, and seemingly joined The Vision.
