• Nixon Newell’s Attitude Is “Usual WWE Brain Rot”

The situation involving Nixon Newell (Tegan Nox in WWE) and Miranda Alize walking out of AEW last week continues to draw attention. The Tag Team was scheduled for a short match against TayJay on Collision, but after being given only three minutes, they chose to leave the building. Another account of the situation claimed that the disagreement was over the match’s finish, which would see Newell and Alize lose.

Newell and Alize were also said to have had tension with Megan Bayne during their debut match, while Bryan Danielson was reportedly unhappy with how that match unfolded. Newell later denied most of these claims, stating she and Alize were respectful, had no issues with Bayne and were even told by AEW that they were free to go home if they wished.

The Wrestling Observer now reports that this situation may impact Newell’s standing on the independent scene. Some promoters on the independent circuit believe that the publicity could help with bookings, as controversy can occasionally draw interest and both women are recognizable names.

However, another independent booker pushed back on that idea. They argued that Newell doesn’t have the leverage to benefit from the attention, claiming she had already been struggling to secure work, asked for higher pay than promoters were willing to offer, and didn’t sell tickets based solely on her name, calling it “usual WWE brain rot.”

• Absent WWE Star Headed To New York Ahead Of RAW At MSG

AJ Lee made her long-awaited WWE return in September after more than ten years away from the company. She stepped inside the ring at Wrestlepalooza, teaming with her husband CM Punk to defeat Seth Rollins and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch in a Mixed Tag Team Match. Since that night, she has not appeared on WWE TV.

The former Divas Champion will be in New York for a signing at The Big Event convention today, which she confirmed on X:

“Doing a signing in NY! You guys blew me away last year, can’t wait to see you again!”

The signing takes place just two days before WWE RAW is held at Madison Square Garden in New York. A few weeks ago, Netflix briefly advertised AJ Lee for the November 17 episode of RAW, but later removed her from the listing.

There has been speculation that she could show up during or after Becky Lynch’s Women’s Intercontinental Championship defense against Maxxine Dupri. There are also rumors that AJ and Becky may be part of the upcoming Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.

The Big Event will feature major names, including Sting, The Great Muta, Goldberg, several AEW stars and multiple former WWE stars.
