• Brody King Says Drinking His Own Ur!ne Strengthened His Friendship With Top AEW Star

Brody King and ROH World Champion Bandido joined forces earlier this year to form Brodido, a Tag Team that quickly rose to success by capturing the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Forbidden Door in August.

During an appearance on The Close Up with Renee Paquette, Brody King recalled the bizarre first time he met Bandido, a road trip that took a wild turn when King decided to drink his own urine, leaving Bandido stunned and Darby Allin wildly amused in the back seat.

“Me and Bandido, we were on an independent show, AAW. We were driving from O’Hare to Chicago, and a lot of traffic sometimes. Sometimes you have to pee in the middle of traffic. So Darby Allin is sitting in the back of the van. This already makes a lot of sense.

So I peed in a bottle, which is very normal for anyone that’s been on tour. They thought it was insane. They thought it was very gross that I was doing this. You know, I was very hydrated that day. So they’re freaking out. Of course, I’m like, I kind of want to take it a step further.

So then I hold up the bottle of pee, and they’re like, ew! And then I just took a little drink of the pee; and they were like, ah! And then they were very freaked out by it. It’s just a little warm; It’s sterile; It’s fine.

To no shock, Darby, from the back of the van, just goes, ‘that’s my kind of guy.’ Which was a very good bonding period for me and Darby.”

Brodido will defend their AEW World Tag Team Titles against FTR at Full Gear later this month.

• Steve Austin Reveals Which Legend Got Him Hooked To Wrestling At Age 7

On the Dirty Mo Media podcast, Steve Austin described the exact moment wrestling grabbed hold of him – and it all started with Dusty Rhodes.

At 7 or 8 years old, Austin discovered Houston Wrestling:

“I was flipping channels and I saw Dusty Rhodes bleeding his a$$ off.  Somebody had the iron claw on him… it was a smoke-filled arena… security guard had a pistol on his side.

I said, ‘Mom, why don’t the security guard go help Dusty?’… but he was in on the gig. I was hooked.”

Dusty Rhodes remained one of his all-time favorites:

“I consider Dusty to be one of the greatest of all time. Dusty could work his a$$ off. He could sure talk.”
