WWE taped tonight’s episode of NXT Gold Rush – Week 2 last week at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. Below are the results:
– WWE EVOLVE Championship Match: Jackson Drake (c) defeated “Super” Sean Legacy.
– Vacant WWE Women’s Speed Championship Match: Fallon Henley defeated Zaria.
The match ended in a five-minute draw before Ava called for sudden-death overtime. Zaria attempted a spear on Henley outside the ring, but Jacy Jayne and Lainey Reid pulled Henley out of the way, causing Zaria to crash into the steel steps, after which Henley won the title.
– Izzi Dame said she has a good reason for why she betrayed Tatum Paxley, and will explain why she did it next week.
– TNA Knockouts World Championship Match: Léi Yǐng Lee (fka Xia Li in WWE) defeated Jordynne Grace & Kelani Jordan (c).
Grace almost won the match after hitting a Powerbomb on Jordan, but Lee stole the pin to win the title.
TNA’s Tommy Dreamer and Carlos Silva were at ringside for the match.
– In a sit-down interview, NXT Champion Ricky Saints said he’s ready to prove the doubters wrong at NXT Deadline.
– WWE EVOLVE Women’s Championship Match: Kendal Grey (c) defeated Lainey Reid.
Charlie Dempsey showed up to save Wren Sinclair at ringside. Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley tried to interfere, but the referee barred everyone from ringside.
– Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier: Myles Borne defeated Trick Williams.
After the match, DarkState came out to attack Borne, but Joe Hendry, Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater showed up.
Also on the show, Intercontinental Champion John Cena appeared in pre-taped footage to announce participants for this year’s Iron Survivor Challenges at the NXT Deadline 2025 PLE.
While announcing the participants, Cena put all the names over, including former TNA World Champion Joe Hendry. Cena said “I believe in Joe Hendry” and then did the pose.
