• John Cena Won’t Headline Saturday Night’s Main Event

In just three days, John Cena will step inside the ring for the final time to battle GUNTHER in his retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.

It was expected that Cena vs. GUNTHER will close the show. However, that will not be the case.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, there isn’t a locked-in runtime for Saturday Night’s Main Event, so talent on the card will have as much time as they need.

Cena vs. GUNTHER is slated to kick off the show, and The GOAT is expected to receive as much time as he wants for his final appearance.

Below is the card for Saturday Night’s Main Event so far:

– John Cena vs. GUNTHER

– Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. NXT Champion Oba Femi

– Bayley vs. Sol Ruca (with Zaria)

– World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Dragon Lee vs. Je’Von Evans & TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater

– WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura will appear

• WWE Officials See SmackDown Wrestler As Breakout Star For 2026

WWE officials are reportedly “very high” on new SmackDown star Lash Legend following her recent showing at Survivor Series 2025. According to Bodyslam, multiple higher-ups backstage were said to be extremely pleased with her performance in the Women’s WarGames Match, viewing it as a major statement moment for the rising star.

Legend, who has steadily grown in presence and has been highlighted more prominently over the past year, earned strong internal praise for how she handled the high-pressure environment and the physical demands of the match. One source noted that her poise, athleticism, and overall delivery during the chaotic WarGames bout confirmed what many in the company already believed.

As a result, there is reportedly a growing belief within WWE that Legend is positioned for a breakout year in 2026. Officials see her as someone who has rapidly developed, both in the ring and as an on-screen character, and is now nearing the level required for significant main-roster opportunities.

Lash Legend is currently in a tag team with Nia Jax and they have their eyes on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
