All Elite Wrestling taped this coming Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite on 34th Street from Hammerstein Ballroom in New York tonight. Below are the complete spoilers for this December 24th episode:
– IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita def. Orange Cassidy in the Continental Classic Blue League
With this win, Takeshita heads to the semi-final.
– Mascara Dorada def. Roderick Strong in the Continental Classic Blue League
– AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter had a promo segment. Jamie tried to hit Kris, but Statlander caught her arm. Statlander said Hayter didn’t get back up the last time she hit her.
– MJF def. Dustin Waller
– “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland were in the balcony, immediately directing their attention toward MJF. Hangman challenged MJF to keep running his mouth, daring him to make another cheap shot or drag another real-world “$ex pest” scandal into the conversation, pointing out that there’s no shortage of those lately. The two then went to the ring as chaos begins to unfold.
Members of Opps Dojo rushed in to intervene but were quickly shut down. MJF narrowly avoided an incoming attack from Swerve and Hangman, but the tension only escalated when AEW World Champion Samoa Joe appeared on the screen, coldly promising to destroy every ounce of hope they have left.
MJF attempted to strike first, lunging toward Swerve and Hangman, but the move backfired as he was overwhelmed. Hangman wrapped a chain around MJF’s neck, tightening his grip, while Swerve unloaded verbally. He accused MJF of thriving off validation, claiming the audience only exists to inflate his ego.
Swerve branded MJF as self-absorbed, self-serving, and hateful – adding that his influence and power make him closer to a real-life predator like Diddy than he’d ever care to admit. He went on to list those he says were harmed along the way, naming The Pinnacle, Wardlow, Jay White, and Adam Cole as examples of people burned by MJF’s manipulation.
Swerve ended his tirade by drawing a clear line between them, stating that he stands as a better person than MJF ever will.
– Dynamite Diamond Ring Match: ROH World Champion Bandido def. AEW National Champion Ricochet to win the ring
Ricochet attacked Bandido after the match, which led to Brody King making the save.
– Marina Shafir def. Mina Shirakawa
After the match, “Timeless” Toni Storm tried to save Mina from being choked by Marina, but Marina took out the former AEW Women’s World Champion.
– The Young Bucks revealed that medical issues will keep them sidelined for the remainder of the year, confirming they won’t be cleared to compete. Kenny Omega responded by reaffirming that the group remains The Elite, but added that with the Bucks out of action, he now has unfinished business to address – something he admits he should have handled a long time ago.
– Jack Perry def. Pac in the Continental Classic Gold League
