• Andrade Returns To NJPW, New Role Revealed

Andrade El Idolo has officially made his return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling with a new role. The former IWGP Intercontinental Champion has been revealed as the new “Bankroller” for The United Empire, adding some star power to the faction ahead of NJPW’s biggest show of the year.

The announcement came following the conclusion of the World Tag League, where tension between factions reached a breaking point. Andrade wasted no time making his presence felt, declaring that he will stand alongside The United Empire for a huge collision at Wrestle Kingdom 20.

On January 4, 2026, at the Tokyo Dome, Andrade will team up with his new stablemates in a 10-man tag team match. The United Empire, represented by Callum Newman, Great-O-Khan, Henare, and Andrade, will face off against the Bullet Club War Dogs (led by David Finlay) and their temporary allies, Shingo Takagi and Hiromu Takahashi.

This return marks a full-circle moment for Andrade, who competed in NJPW as La Sombra during the early 2010s. By joining United Empire as their “Bankroller,” Andrade is positioning himself as a major power player in the faction’s war against David Finlay’s “Savage King” era of the Bullet Club.

With the return of Henare also confirmed for this match, The United Empire enters the Tokyo Dome with a revitalized lineup, looking to settle their violent feud with the War Dogs once and for all.
