SmackDown Results – 3 Stages Of Hell Match Set, Drew McIntyre Insults Dusty Rhodes

Below are the results from tonight’s SmackDown, featuring Carmelo Hayes winning the United States Championship, 3 Stages of Hell match announcement & more.

– Nick Aldis reminded Cody Rhodes that he will have to strip him of the Undisputed WWE Championship if The American Nightmare even touches Drew McIntyre.

– SmackDown kicked off with a Joe Hendry concert, and he sang, “Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Miz has tiny balls.” The Miz then cut a promo boasting about having massive balls.

– Miracle On 34th Street Fight Match: Joe Hendry def. The Miz

Alpha Academy was at ringside for the match, with Otis dressed as Santa, Tozawa as an elf, and R-Truth as a rabbit.

– Ilja Dragunov gave Carmelo Hayes a rematch for the United States Championship.

– Drew McIntyre said he will answer everybody’s questions before the end of the night.

– Aleister Black will settle his conflict with Damian Priest once and for all in a match on next week’s SmackDown.

– WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill said Michin is scared – that’s why she hit her with a kendo stick last week. Jade said she doesn’t need a weapon – she is the weapon.

– B-Fab appreciates Michin sticking up for her, but she doesn’t want Michin getting hurt. Michin said they’re not scared – they just don’t respect Cargill. Michin will face Cargill next week on SmackDown and plans to humble the champion.

– Charlotte Flair def. Lash Legend

Alexa Bliss distracted Nia Jax on the outside during the finishing moments of the match.

– Former NXT Champion Trick Williams showed up in Nick Aldis’ office. He said RAW is ready to offer him a lot of money and wants to know if SmackDown is going to match the offer or not. Cody Rhodes showed up and asked Trick to leave as he has something to discuss with Aldis. Trick left. Cody got angry when Aldis revealed that Drew McIntyre hasn’t apologized to referee Dan Engler yet. Nick told Cody to control his emotions or he could get stripped of the WWE Title. Trick showed up again after he changed his mind because he’s the hottest free agent and listed his accomplishments. Trick said if Nick makes the right decision, Cody better be holding on to that title real tight.

– Solo Sikoa said Wyatt Sicks member will question Uncle Howdy when their blood is on Howdy’s hands.

– United States Championship Match: Carmelo Hayes def. Ilja Dragunov (c) to win the title

Ilja put the title around Carmelo’s waist after the match.

– Nick Aldis booked Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss vs. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane), Nia Jax, and Lash Legend in an 8-woman tag team match on next week’s SmackDown.

– Carmelo Hayes said the following to Cathy Kelley about his U.S. Title win: “I was delayed, but I was not denied.”

Johnny Gargano then attacked Carmelo. Gargano said Hayes ruined it and he’s coming to take everything.

– Giulia and Kiana James def. Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre

Chelsea was pinned by Giulia.

– Kit Wilson asked for a new opportunity for his new and improved version. Nick Aldis said Kit will get his opportunity next week. Cody Rhodes came in and is mad that Drew McIntyre hasn’t apologized to Dan Engler yet. Drew’s music hit and he’s coming out to the ring. Aldis took Dan to the ring with him, while Cody is watching on the TV backstage.

– Drew McIntyre paid the fine to Nick Aldis and apologized to referee Dan Engler for hitting him with a Claymore Kick. Drew then mocked Dan’s height and said Dan wanted to be a wrestler, but wasn’t good enough, so he had to be a referee. Drew said Dan’s wife wishes Drew was her husband, a man who stands up for what he believes in, no matter the consequences. Drew also brought up Dan’s children and challenged Dan to hit him and do something about it. Cody Rhodes then came out and Drew is very happy because he knows Cody will be stripped of the WWE Title if Cody attacks Drew. Drew hyped up Cody to attack him. Drew said he wishes Cody’s family was on the tour bus when he attacked him. Drew said he wishes Brandi could see what a real daddy looks like. Drew then revealed that he will face Cody for the WWE Championship in a “3 Stages of Hell” match in Berlin, Germany, on the January 9th episode of SmackDown. Drew ended his promo by saying:

“When I send you straight to hell, say hi to your dad for me.”

Aldis held Rhodes back, but Rhodes pushed Aldis off. Drew then hit Cody with the Claymore Kick.
