• WWE Discussed A Change For Saturday Night’s Main Event On January 24

The upcoming WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, set to take place in Montreal on January 24, will proceed as originally scheduled, but the decision wasn’t made without significant internal debate.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE officials recently weighed the possibility of shifting the broadcast an hour earlier than its usual slot. The primary reason for the proposed change was a potential scheduling conflict with the UFC 324 PPV on Paramount+, which is scheduled to begin at 9 PM that same night. This specific UFC event is a landmark show as it marks the promotion’s debut on the Paramount+ platform, which has been experimenting with earlier start times for its major live events.

In the past, TKO Group Holdings – the parent company of both WWE and UFC – has moved events to avoid direct competition, a strategy a TKO representative previously described to Sean Ross Sapp as “corporate synergy”. However, for the Montreal show, WWE ultimately decided to stay the course with its traditional time slot.

So far, WWE has announced the following for Saturday Night’s Main Event:

Fatal 4-Way Match to determine Drew McIntyre’s opponent for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Royal Rumble 2026: Randy Orton vs. Trick Williams vs. Damian Priest vs. Sami Zayn

– Cody Rhodes vs. Jacob Fatu

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: RHIYO (Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY) (c) vs. Judgment Day (Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez)

• WWE Makes A Change To RAW After Fan Criticism

After a wave of criticism from fans regarding the frequency of advertisements, Netflix is officially adjusting how it broadcasts WWE Monday Night RAW. Since the show’s historic move to the streaming platform in 2025, the number of commercial interruptions has been a major point of frustration for the audience.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE and Netflix have listened to the feedback and decided to reduce the number of commercial breaks per episode. The original plan for the 2.5 hour RAW broadcast included 12 commercial breaks, but that number has now been trimmed down to 10. This change was reportedly put into effect starting with this week’s episode of RAW.

While the total number of breaks has decreased, it remains unclear if the remaining 10 breaks will be longer to compensate for the lost ad time.

Regardless, the move is seen as a win for viewers who felt the constant interruptions were hurting the flow of the matches and storylines.

• Omos’ Next TV Appearance Date Announced

A new era for Mexican wrestling begins this weekend as Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide makes its official debut on Fox Sports Mexico on January 17. This major television move signals a significant expansion for the promotion across Latin America, and details regarding the broadcast schedule and creative direction are now coming to light.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the production schedule for this new Fox series will follow a live and taped format. The show is expected to air live every third week, with the promotion filming two additional weeks of content immediately following the live broadcast. This approach allows AAA to maintain a consistent television presence while keeping the energy of a live crowd for its major monthly events.

The Undertaker has reportedly become an “integral figure” behind the scenes for the promotion. Following reports from late last year, the WWE Hall of Famer has been lending his expertise to AAA, potentially influencing the presentation and professional polish of the brand as it moves to a major international platform.

AAA has announced that Omos will appear on the debut episode this Saturday. The Nigerian Giant returned at AAA Guerra de Titanes in December and joined forces with El Hijo del Vikingo by attacking Dragon Lee.

Below is the card for January 17:

#1 Contender’s Match for Dominik Mysterio’s AAA Mega Championship: El Hijo del Vikingo vs. El Grande Americano

– AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer vs. Lady Shani

– Mr. Iguana, La Parka, and Nino Hamburguesa vs. Taurus, Histeria, and Abismo Negro Jr.

– Omos will appear

– Rey Mysterio will kick off the show
