• Major Name Might Return For WrestleMania 42
WWE is reportedly exploring the use of major legacy stars to strengthen future WrestleMania cards, with both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin discussed as possible attractions.
On WrestleVotes Live on Fightful Select, it was suggested that Steve Austin could make an appearance at WrestleMania 42 if WWE feels the card needs an additional boost. His name has come up internally as someone who could be used to add star power, whether in a match, confrontation, or special segment designed to elevate the overall presentation of the event. WrestleVotes recently reported that Austin is expected to make an appearance on WWE TV in the near future.
The Rock was also mentioned in the context of longer-term planning. While there is no immediate confirmation of his involvement, the belief is that WWE continues to keep the door open for a future WrestleMania appearance if the timing and circumstances align. His name has reportedly circulated in internal discussions connected to major events down the line, especially WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia in 2027.
WWE is willing to invest heavily in iconic names to enhance their biggest shows. With WrestleMania remaining the company’s flagship event, bringing back high-profile stars like The Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin is viewed as a strategic option rather than a one-off novelty.
• Possible Spoiler On Who’s Behind The Mystery Phone Call With Adam Pearce
Brock Lesnar is expected to be involved in WWE programming in the near future, with signs pointing toward a significant role as the company moves deeper into Royal Rumble and WrestleMania season.
On WrestleVotes Live on Fightful Select, it was said that Lesnar is currently anticipated to be part of the Royal Rumble, positioning him for a return to the top of the card.
The expectation is that his involvement would not be minor or isolated, but instead tied to a broader, high-level storyline that carries through WrestleMania 42.
There was also discussion connecting Lesnar to the ongoing Adam Pearce and Paul Heyman mystery phone call angle, with the belief that The Beast could be revealed as the individual behind it. If that proves to be the case, it would place Lesnar directly into a central storyline almost immediately upon his return.
• A Lot Of Surprises Are In Store For Royal Rumble 2026
On ESPN Get Up, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H said the following about this Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2026 premium live event in Saudi Arabia:
“The Royal Rumble is one of those events that’s amazing to see because every couple of minutes, there is a new entrant that enters into the fray. So as this match goes on over the course of the hour that it takes or so, you’re getting constantly surprised by who is next, and the strategy of what happens when that person comes out, so, this year’s gonna be no different.
There’s a lot of surprises in store. But also, it’s one of the most star-studded Rumbles that I can recall. You’ve got Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Jey Uso, Bron Breakker, Logan Paul’s gonna be in there.
On the women’s side, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan. They’re just stacked cards. This one is gonna be epic.”

• Possible Spoiler On 3 NXT Stars As Surprise Entrants In The Royal Rumble
Every year, multiple NXT wrestlers end up as surprise entrants in the Royal Rumble matches. On this week’s NXT, 3 regular, top stars were missing from the show: NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice.
In a backstage segment, General Manager Ava was heard saying the following on the phone: “I’m aware the Rumble is Saturday, we have the deepest women’s division in the world, so whatever decision you make, I support it.”
This has begun speculation that Jacy, Sol, and Lola will be surprise entrants in the Women’s Royal Rumble match and that is the reason why they didn’t appear on this week’s LIVE episode of NXT – because the WWE roster is already in Saudi Arabia for the big weekend.
• Braun Strowman Hospitalized (Photo)
The Monster Among Men is facing a rough start to 2026, trading the wrestling ring for a hospital bed this week. Braun Strowman revealed he was rushed into emergency care due to a sudden and severe infection in his right knee.
Strowman took to Instagram to share his frustration, posting from his hospital room after an overnight stay. He described the infection as something that came out of nowhere, leaving him in significant pain and asking for prayers from his fans:
“Well spent the night in the hospital with an infection that came out of nowhere in my right knee. So I could use some prayers and well wishes. #ThisSucks #WhyMe #lol #painful #IGotThis #ThankYou #FeetAintFree.”

This health scare is just the latest blow in a string of bizarre bad luck for the star. Only two weeks ago, Strowman was involved in a car accident while test-driving his newly finished custom hatchback. Although his car was badly damaged in the rear-end collision, Strowman walked away with only a sore neck.
