• Spoiler On AAA Star & 2 NXT Stars In The Royal Rumble As Surprise Entrants
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, NXT stars Sol Ruca and Lola Vice, and AAA star Mr. Iguana are expected to be surprise entrants in the Royal Rumbles matches this Saturday.
Speculation for Sol and Lola appearing at the Royal Rumble began when both of them missed this week’s episode of NXT, as the WWE crew had already left for Saudi Arabia by then.
Mr. Iguana is confirmed to be in Saudi Arabia, so him appearing in the Men’s Royal Rumble match looks like a strong possibility. He has worked a few WWE main roster matches in the past, after WWE acquired AAA.
• WWE Wrestler Set For 1st Match In 6 Months This Weekend After Recent Return
During AAA’s debut episode on Fox Sports (Latin America), Santos Escobar made his return to WWE TV after a 6-month absence and took out AAA Latin American Champion Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. on his first night back.
According to PWInsider, Santos will return to the ring this weekend, as he’s scheduled to work the NXT Live Events, where he will replace RAW Superstar Grayson Waller.
It’s possible Grayson is booked for the Men’s Royal Rumble match in Saudi Arabia this weekend.
• WrestleMania-Level Set For Royal Rumble 2026 Revealed (Video)
WWE is no longer just visiting Saudi Arabia; they are reshaping the landscape. For Royal Rumble 2026 on January 31, the company has abandoned the idea of using an existing venue. Instead, they have built their own stadium from the ground up in Riyadh to host the event.
This massive construction project reflects the unprecedented scale of the show. According to PWInsider, the backstage talk at this week’s RAW was centered on one thing: the production for this Rumble was treated as a WrestleMania-level event.
While the Royal Rumble has always been a major stop on the calendar, the level of financial and creative investment for this year’s show is turning it into a global showcase that rivals the biggest night in wrestling history.

• AJ Styles Makes Big Business Decision Before Career-Threatening Match
As AJ Styles prepares for a high-stakes career-threatening showdown with Gunther this Saturday at the Royal Rumble in Riyadh, the former WWE Champion is making significant moves to protect his legacy outside the ring.
In a move that could hint at his plans for life after a potential loss, the wrestler—under his real name, Allen Jones—has filed two major trademark applications with the USPTO. Rather than letting WWE control his branding, Styles is personally laying claim to his most famous assets: the name “The Phenomenal AJ Styles” and the iconic “P1” stylized logo.
The timing is critical. While WWE usually owns the names of its performers, Styles is leveraging his history to keep control of his brand.
His filing for the “Phenomenal” name dates its first use back to December 2000, long before he ever stepped foot in a WWE ring. Similarly, the “P1” logo filing references a first use in 2011, protecting his right to sell shirts, hats, and sweatshirts independently.
Whether he wins on Saturday or is forced into retirement, AJ Styles is officially taking his business into his own hands.
