Today’s SmackDown aired LIVE on Netflix for fans outside the United States, and it will air at the usual 8 PM ET slot on the USA Network later. Below are the complete results:
– Cody Rhodes kicked off SmackDown and said it would make all the sense in the world to win the Royal Rumble for the 3rd time and fans chanted “no.” Cody even teased going after CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship and said they have to do it one day. Randy Orton came out and said Cody can very dangerous when desperate, but then said the following:
“There is nothing more dangerous than a Viper chasing number 15.”
Randy said it’s every man for himself tomorrow and he’s willing to throw Cody’s a$$ over the top rope if it comes down to the two of them. Randy reminded Cody that he has also won the Royal Rumble twice. World Tag Team Champion Jey Uso came out and said he’s going to win the Royal Rumble two times in a row and walk out of WrestleMania in Las Vegas as champion again. Sami Zayn then came out. Sami said he has never lost in Saudi Arabia and he doesn’t plan to start now, and vowed to walk out of the Royal Rumble as the new Undisputed WWE Champion. Paul Heyman came out with The Vision and said he sees no vision in the ring, and said Sami will not win the WWE Championship tomorrow. Heyman also said Jey, Cody, and Randy won’t win the Men’s Royal Rumble match and fans chanted “shut the f**k up.” Heyman said tomorrow will be Bron Breakker’s night. Randy dared them to come to the ring for a fight. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis came out and announced The Vision vs. Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn in an 8-man tag team match in the main event.
– United States Championship Match: Carmelo Hayes (c) def. Rey Fenix to retain the title
– Ilja Dragunov isn’t happy that The Miz cost him his U.S. Title match against Carmelo Hayes last week. Miz said he has no beef with him. Ilja gave Miz a rough handshake and said Miz’s pain will entertain tonight.
– Nick Aldis added Damian Priest in the Men’s Royal Rumble and Priest picked out his entry number backstage. Priest indicated that it’s an early entry number.
– Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre said Sami Zayn did a good job by running his mouth and getting added to an 8-man tag team match just one night before his title match at Royal Rumble. Drew said he’s willing to do whatever it takes to remain champion.
– Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY said they will still be friends after the Royal Rumble. Giulia and Kiana James confronted them ahead of their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match. Nia Jax and Lash Legend joined in and said none of them stand a chance because they are in the Royal Rumble.
– Charlotte Flair said she’s going to win the Women’s Royal Rumble tomorrow and she will dedicate her win to Alexa Bliss. Alexa said she’s planning to win the Rumble. Charlotte said she has won the Rumble twice, so the odds are in her favor. Alexa said not everything is about Charlotte. Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez of The Judgment Day came out to mock their friendship. Charlotte challenged them to a fight. The Judgment Day accepted the challenge and walked down the ramp, but said they were kidding. However, Nick Aldis came out and made the match official.
– Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair def. Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez.
Roxanne got busted open in the match. During the ending moments of the match, Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer showed up and took out Raquel Rodriguez at ringside.
– Jordynne Grace said she’s going to win the Women’s Royal Rumble and then face WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill. Cargill attacked Grace and a brawl broke out.
– Nick Aldis banned Candice LeRae from ringside for Johnny Gargano’s match. Aldis said if Axiom beats Gargano, Gargano will have to give Axiom his mask back.
– Axiom def. Johnny Gargano to win his mask back
– Ilja Dragunov said he’s coming for Carmelo Hayes and he expects to get another United States Championship match.
– Trick Williams said the “Whoop That” movement will start tomorrow when he wins the Royal Rumble match.
– AJ Styles said fans don’t need to worry about tomorrow because she’s going to defeat Gunther and then begin The Phenomenal Retirement Tour. Gunther vowed to make AJ tap out.
– WWE Tag Team Champion Tama Tonga met Shinsuke Nakamura and questioned what happened to The King of Strong Style, because the Nakamura he knew would’ve defeated AJ Styles at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Nakamura will face Tonga next week.
– Ilja Dragunov def. The Miz
– Bo Dallas told Solo Sikoa he’s going to get the Lantern and the WWE Tag Team Titles back.
– Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, World Tag Team Champion Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn def. The Vision (Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Austin Theory, and Logan Paul) via DQ after Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre interfered and attacked Zayn
After the match, Jacob Fatu showed up and attacked McIntyre. Cody then took out Jacob and Drew attacked Cody. Drew was looking to hit Cody with the Claymore Kick, but Sami hit Drew with the Helluva Kick. Both Cody and Sami grabbed the WWE Title, but Breakker double speared both of them to end the show.
