• John Cena Reveals Why AJ Styles Didn’t Want His Own WWE Retirement Tour
John Cena wanted AJ Styles to do a retirement tour, just like he did. However, The Phenomenal One declined. Here’s what Cena said about it on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast:
“A good explanation of AJ Styles debuted at the Rumble, wanted to retire at the Rumble. As soon as he told me that because I mean AJ and I got to work in Perth. We shared with each other like, man, I kind of wanted to push the idea of like, ‘dude, you’ve been doing this a long time. There are people who would really like to say goodbye. You may want to think about this (retirement tour) model.’
And he turned to me and said, ‘I’m 49.’ And as soon as the words left his mouth, I was like, ‘That’s a good explanation.’
So AJ’s perspective was, ‘My debut meant a lot to me. I want it to be a circle of life in my career where I retire. I leave the same day I came in at the same event.’ That’s a good explanation.”
• WWE’s Latest Ban Ahead Of Elimination Chamber Revealed
WWE is reportedly tightening its grip on how fans in the Chicago area experience the Elimination Chamber PLE next weekend. According to Fightful Select, the company has implemented strict new “blackout rules” that are effectively blocking local watch parties from hosting the event.
The move appears to be a calculated, high-pressure tactic to boost live attendance at the United Center. By restricting communal viewing options at bars and restaurants within the region, WWE is hoping to push undecided fans toward the remaining ticket inventory.
While the show features a massive hometown draw with CM Punk and AJ Lee both in marquee title matches, over 2,000 seats remain available according to WrestleTix, leading to this aggressive push for a total sellout. Almost 15,000 tickets have been sold so far.
As previously reported, WWE is using the same tactic to increase ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
Below is the card for Elimination Chamber 2026:
– Men’s Elimination Chamber Match for an Undisputed WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 42: Randy Orton vs. LA Knight vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Trick Williams vs. TBD
