• Randy Orton Pitched Released WWE Star As His Surprise WrestleMania 41 Opponent
Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle revealed that he was in discussions for a potential return at WrestleMania 41 as a surprise opponent for Randy Orton.
Speaking on the Rewind Recap Relive podcast, Riddle shared that the last time he communicated with WWE was before WrestleMania in 2025. According to Riddle, Orton personally reached out to inform him that he had pitched his name internally as a possible opponent for the event.
Riddle said he then contacted Triple H and made it clear he was open to returning if needed. He indicated he was willing to meet any requirements in order to make the appearance happen, including passing a drug test.
Ultimately, WWE chose to go in a different direction for Orton’s WrestleMania 41 match, and the proposed match did not materialize. Orton ended up facing then-TNA World Champion Joe Hendry.
Riddle and Orton previously teamed together as RK-Bro, becoming one of WWE’s most popular tag teams in recent years. The duo captured the RAW Tag Team Championship and were featured prominently on television before Orton’s injury hiatus led to the team’s dissolution.

As previously reported, former WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton broke up with Ludwig Kaiser in 2025. Tiffany is now dating NXT’s Shady Elnahas, while Ludwig is dating WWE’s Spanish host Andrea Bazarte. Elnahas is a former Egyptian-Canadian judoka. He got signed by WWE in 2025, but hasn’t made his televised debut yet.
