Chelsea Green has shared new details about the WrestleMania 40 week incident in which she was removed from a New York City hotel after staff allegedly suspected her of being an escort.
Appearing on the “A Shot of Brandi” podcast with Brandi Rhodes, Green disclosed that she was not alone that night. She confirmed that fellow WWE star Maxxine Dupri was with her — and was treated the same way by security.
“[Maxxine is] so sweet that she never spoke up about it. Everything that happened to me, also happened to Maxxine.”
The situation occurred in 2024 at the Fairmont’s Plaza Hotel in New York during WrestleMania week. Green previously went public with the story, which gained mainstream attention at the time, but had only mentioned that a “friend” accompanied her. She has now identified Dupri as that friend, explaining that Dupri never publicly addressed the incident herself.
According to Green, the two arrived at the hotel’s Champagne Bar — a spot she said she had visited before — when security stopped them and told them they were not permitted inside. Despite being informed that hotel guests can bring visitors to the bar, Green said staff continued to treat them with suspicion and implied they were there for inappropriate reasons.
Green stated that after being denied entry, she attempted to book a room at the front desk out of frustration. She claimed security then escalated the situation and attempted to remove her from the property.
Following the incident, Green said a hotel manager later contacted her and acknowledged that security had mishandled the situation after reviewing surveillance footage. She was reportedly offered a complimentary stay at another property as an apology, but she said the offer was never honored when she attempted to redeem it.
