• Ex-WWE/AEW Star Signs With Power Slap, Making Debut During WrestleMania 42 Weekend

Former WWE and AEW star Jake Hager is officially trading the wrestling ring for the slap podium. The man once known as Jack Swagger revealed on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast that he has signed a new deal with Power Slap, the promotion owned by UFC boss Dana White.

The contract covers six appearances, and fans won’t have to wait long to see him in action. Hager is set to make his heavyweight debut on April 17 in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 42 weekend.

This marks a major career shift for the veteran, who is moving away from his time in major wrestling companies to join the growing — and often controversial — world of professional slapping.

Jake Hager last wrestled in pro-wrestling in November 2024. He is also an undefeated MMA fighter with a record of 3-0 (1). His last fight took place in 2020 in Bellator MMA.

Tehuti Miles, formerly known as Ashante “Thee” Adonis in WWE, is now officially part of the AEW roster. Although he debuted at the ROH tapings on March 1, Fightful Select reports that he actually signed his contract way back in the first week of September 2025.

The move happened incredibly fast. Miles became a free agent when his WWE deal ended on August 10, 2025, and All Elite Wrestling snapped him up less than a month later.

This surprised some people in the industry because most former WWE wrestlers usually work on the independent scene for a while before joining a major company.

Tehuti Miles defeated Serpentico during the Ring of Honor TV taping at WJCT Studios in Jacksonville, Florida.
