• WWE Considering Double Turn On SmackDown
WWE might be planning a major twist for Trick Williams that involves a total character swap with Sami Zayn. While fans already knew WWE was thinking about turning Trick into a babyface because of his huge crowd reactions, it turns out they might take it a step further.
According to a report from Self Made Pro, internal talks at WWE include the idea of a double turn. This means that at the exact same time Trick becomes a babyface, Sami Zayn would shock everyone by becoming a heel.
Insiders say this scenario is being seriously considered by the creative team. While Sami has been one of the most babyfaces in the company for years, WWE seems interested in seeing how he would do as a villain again while they capitalize on Trick’s growing popularity.
Sami has been frustrated as of late because he failed to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.
• Rumored Outcome Of Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre For The WWE Title On SmackDown
Cody Rhodes might be winning the gold sooner than expected. While he is scheduled to challenge Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship this Friday on SmackDown, new reports suggest this match is just a setup for a much bigger plan at WrestleMania 42.
According to Self Made Pro, people close to Cody knew as far back as February 2nd that the goal for WrestleMania was a title defense against Randy Orton.
Since Orton already won the Men’s Elimination Chamber to become the #1 contender, the pieces are falling into place. If Cody beats Drew this Friday, it would turn the WrestleMania main event into a teacher-vs-student showdown between Rhodes and Orton.
Cody is reportedly very excited about the idea and fully supports a long program with Orton. Even though McIntyre has been a dominant champion — and cost Cody a big win at the Chamber — this Friday’s title match seems to be the moment WWE puts the belt back on The American Nightmare to set the stage for Las Vegas.
