• Ex-NXT Champion’s Wrestling Career Is Over

Mandy Rose was released from WWE in December 2022 due to her adult subscription content. In her last match, she lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez, which ended her reign at 413 days. She has now confirmed that her wrestling career is over. Here’s what the Toxic Attraction star said on episode 39 of Prince St. Pizza:

“It was the end of my career, which is kind of like, I went out on top, which I always wanted to, but I didn’t suspect that my career was ending. It was just something that happened and it ended, but like I said, I was grateful that I had that run because it really like increased my equity in the company like 10 fold.

[My WWE release] was (a blessing in disguise) because what I’m doing now, and the money, financially, what I’ve made since being out of there is really significantly higher and there’s a means to it in wrestling.

Listen, I love it. I’m grateful for but personally, I don’t want to be 50 years old and I can’t get out of bed. That’s not what I want. I want to be healthy. I’m very much into fitness and it takes a huge toll on your body.

I didn’t expect it to end that way, but I also am grateful for what had happened, and now I get to do all these other things. It’s a blessing, but it is what it is.”

• WWE’s WrestleMania 42 Plan For Asuka

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE is discussing Asuka vs. Kairi Sane at WrestleMania 42. As we previously noted, WWE is planning a larger spotlight for the women’s division at this year’s WrestleMania. According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, there is a strong push within WWE creative to feature a lot of women’s matches across the two-night event. The current plan being discussed includes at least 6 matches involving the women’s roster.

Sources said most of the lineup is already taking shape, with around 5 of those matches believed to be firmly scheduled. The full match list has not been revealed yet, but if the current direction holds, it would mark the highest number of women’s matches ever featured at a WrestleMania.

So far, the following two women’s matches have been confirmed for WrestleMania 42:

Women’s World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan

WWE Women’s Championship Match: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

As we previously noted, Giulia (c) vs. IYO SKY for the Women’s United States Championship is rumored to take place as well. Women’s Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee will also have a match at the biggest show of the year.

A WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match is also rumored to take place, since The Bella Twins said they are going to be on the show and they want the tag team titles.
