RAW Before WrestleMania 42 Results – CM Punk Apologizes To Roman Reigns

Below are the complete results from the final RAW before WrestleMania 42.

– In a vignette, Roman Reigns said he told World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk to enjoy what little relevance he has left. He said Punk wasted his time trying to rewrite history, and all Punk did was expose himself as a hypocrite. Roman said he is going to give Punk an opportunity to tell the truth tonight, or he will.

– Brock Lesnar signed the contract for his WrestleMania 42 match against Oba Femi and said: “You won’t even know his name after this weekend.”

– Lyra Valkyria def. Charlotte Flair with help from Bayley

– The MFTs met The Usos and LA Knight backstage. Solo Sikoa said The Usos are embarrassing the family on RAW by hanging out with Knight.

– WWE interviewer Cathy Kelley got knocked down. She was in the ring interviewing Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer when Liv Morgan attacked Stephanie and Stephanie got pushed into Cathy. A big brawl broke out, with WWE producers and referees separating the two women. Liv took the mic and said Stephanie’s mother is trash and raised a little b*tch. Stephanie went back in the ring and brawled again. Cathy was helped to the back. Michael Cole later revealed that Cathy is fine.

– Asuka announced Kairi Sane vs. IYO SKY for tonight’s RAW.

– LA Knight and The Usos def. The MFTs (Solo Sikoa, Tonga Loa, and JC Mateo)

Tama Tonga showed up at ringside and Solo got distracted. LA hit the BFT on Loa in the ring for the win.

– Gunther came to the ring and got attacked by Seth Rollins. Rollins said he’s going to finish this at WrestleMania 42 and wanted to know the real reason Gunther targeted him. Gunther said Rollins walks around like he’s the best, but Gunther is the best and Rollins can’t lace The Ring General’s boots. They brawled again and Gunther managed to escape.

– Dominik Mysterio said he didn’t sign up to face Demon Finn Balor at WrestleMania 42 and told Adam Pearce to cancel the match. Pearce said Dirty Dom is getting what he deserves.

– Kairi Sane def. IYO SKY

Asuka attacked IYO during the match, which led to Rhea Ripley coming out to attack Asuka. WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill attacked Rhea from behind. IYO took out Jade with a suicide dive. Asuka interfered in the match and attacked IYO again, thus helping Kairi win.

– Paul Heyman said Oba Femi is the fastest rising star in WWE since Brock Lesnar in 2002, but he will be conquered at WrestleMania 42. Oba claimed Brock is scared of him and said:

“I will defeat The Beast. I will slay The Beast. He will meet his end because I am the one. I have always been the one. I know it, they know it, and at WrestleMania, you’ll know it too.”

– Dragon Lee and Je’Von Evans def. JD McDonagh and Rusev

Rusev attacked Dragon and Je’Von after the match, which led to Rey Mysterio making the save. Rusev took out the WWE Hall of Famer as well, which led to Intercontinental Champion Penta coming out. Rusev took out Penta with a Machka Kick. Je’Von fired back, but Rusev took him down again. Rusev attacked his partner JD as well and then locked in the Accolade on Dragon until Dragon tapped.

– Danhausen wanted to speak to John Cena because he will be the new greatest of all time.

– Roman Reigns came out in the main event segment. CM Punk came out through the crowd in Shield style. Punk said he hates Roman because he envies Roman. Punk said this was his childhood dream and he’s envy of Roman because that dream got handed to Roman. Punk hates Roman’s 1,316 day reign as champion and he hates the amount of times Roman has main evented WrestleMania. Punk said Wild Samoan Sika (Roman’s father) was a great wrestler and a great man, and he respects the old timers, and he hates what he said about Sika and he sincerely apologized to Roman.

Punk hates he wasn’t born in a wrestling dynasty. Punk said he conquered the indies and he wasn’t handed anything. Punk hates he has to share the ring with Roman in his first match headlining WrestleMania. Punk said he’s going to retain the World Title this Sunday and told Roman to tell him when he’s telling lies.

Reigns said that’s the truest stuff he’s ever heard Punk say, until the end. Roman said he hates Punk too. Roman said he hates Punk’s connection with the fans and wants to get to a point where fans chant his name for 10 years straight as well when he leaves WWE.

Roman said he gave Punk two months to hold this relevancy, but Punk did nothing with it and now it’s time to end this experiment. Roman said it’s time to take the WWE back to where it was with The Tribal Chief as champion, and Punk and the whole world will acknowledge him this Sunday.
