• Paul Heyman Had An Unusual Backstage Role At WrestleMania 42

Paul Heyman has been a key figure in WWE for decades, taking on roles as a manager, commentator, and even serving as Executive Director of RAW at different points in his career.

At WrestleMania 42 – Night 2, the WWE Hall of Famer had a notable behind-the-scenes presence, stepping into a producer role for the event, something he is not typically involved in.

According to Cory Hays of Bodyslam, Heyman was listed internally as a producer for both Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi and Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk.

Heyman has worked with Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and CM Punk for a long time and is known to be a close friend of all three.

• WWE Required Major Commitment From Roman Reigns For World Title Run

Roman Reigns went through an intense battle with CM Punk at WrestleMania 42 – Night 2, which ended with The OTC coming out on top and capturing the World Heavyweight Championship.

Following The Grandest Stage of Them All, Reigns made a major announcement about his WWE future during the WrestleMania post-show, stating that he would not operate as a part-time champion like before and would be present throughout the summer.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE had an internal condition in place that if Reigns was going to win the World Heavyweight Championship, he needed to commit to a full-time schedule.

Reigns is now set to appear on the RAW after WrestleMania tonight.

• Brock Lesnar May Not Have Retired At WrestleMania 42

Brock Lesnar made his first WrestleMania appearance since 2023 at WrestleMania 42, where he came up short against Oba Femi. After the match, the 10-time World Champion appeared to signal retirement, leaving his gloves and boots in the ring before kissing the mat and walking out emotionally.

However, speculation has now emerged that Lesnar may not have actually retired. WRKD Wrestling, who have previously broken several WWE insider stories, suggested that the situation may not be final.

“Don’t be so sure. Cole was very careful with his wording.”

Lesnar’s retirement being a storyline is a possibility because it has long been rumored that GUNTHER will be the one to retire The Beast Incarnate. GUNTHER has built a reputation over the past year as The Career Killer after retiring multiple legends.

The idea has gained more traction in recent weeks, with Paul Heyman owing GUNTHER a favor following The Ring General’s match against Seth Rollins on Night 1 of WrestleMania 42. This has led to speculation that the payoff could be a match between GUNTHER and Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis, Lesnar’s hometown.
