• Former NXT Champion’s Main Roster Call-Up Might Be Delayed
With WrestleMania 42 wrapped up, WWE has already started moving talent from NXT to the main roster. Joe Hendry and Ethan Page have joined RAW, while Sol Ruca is also expected to follow after her match against Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Jacy Jayne is another name currently being considered for SmackDown.
Ricky Saints is also being discussed internally for a possible move to the main roster.
According to Bodyslam+, WWE has already held talks about calling the former NXT Champion up. However, The CW is said to prefer keeping at least one experienced name in the NXT’s men’s division for the time being, which could delay the move.
Saints is currently scheduled to compete on NXT next week against Shiloh Hill.
• Big Event Won’t Take Place In Saudi Arabia In 2027
Even though WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia, the NXT brand likely won’t be making the trip. According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the current plan is to hold NXT Stand & Deliver as its own separate event once again next year, rather than part of the big WrestleMania week activities.
This year, NXT held their biggest show outside of the immediate WrestleMania bubble, and it seems the company liked the results enough to do it again.
By keeping the two shows separate, it gives the NXT stars their own spotlight and avoids the logistical headache of flying the entire developmental roster to Saudi Arabia.
