• Adam Pearce Comments On Fans Showing Support For Kairi Sane After WWE Release

WWE released over two dozen wrestlers as part of its annual spring cuts, with former Women’s Tag Team Champion Kairi Sane among the more surprising names.

Sane had been part of a storyline with IYO SKY and Asuka since last fall, where Asuka had been bullying her for months, with fans expecting the angle to eventually lead to a feud between the two.

According to Fightful Select, there was “heavy frustration” within WWE over the decision to release Sane before the storyline could reach any kind of payoff, especially given the direction it had been building towards.

Following the news, fans and fellow wrestlers have shown strong support for Kairi Sane, sharing lengthy messages online, with “#WeWantKairi” trending on X over the weekend.

RAW General Manager Adam Pearce tweeted the following about this movement: “I never underestimate pro wrestling fans.”
