• Big E’s WWE Future Decided After New Day Departure
Big E last stepped inside the ring on an episode of SmackDown in March 2022. He teamed up with Kofi Kingston against Sheamus and Ridge Holland when Holland delivered a Belly-to-Belly Overhead Suplex outside the ring, resulting in a broken neck that forced Big E into retirement.
Last week, his former New Day stablemates Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods parted ways with WWE after rejecting new contract offers amid TKO’s cost-cutting measures.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Big E is expected to stay with WWE despite the departures of Kingston and Woods.
The former WWE Champion currently serves as a panelist on the Kickoff and Post Shows for WWE Premium Live Events.
• Major European Nation In Strong Position To Host WrestleMania
WWE has continued expanding worldwide over the last few years, taking major Premium Live Events to countries including Australia, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico and Saudi Arabia as the company continues prioritizing international markets.
That expansion is set to reach another level next year, with WrestleMania heading outside North America for the first time ever as the Showcase of Immortals is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia. Following that move, Ireland is now hoping to host WrestleMania in the future as interest grows in hosting WWE’s biggest annual event.
Kilkenny Councillor Maurice Shortall stated that Ireland is “well placed” to submit a competitive bid for WrestleMania, saying:
“As a globally recognised event with the capacity to attract tens of thousands of international visitors and generate substantial international media exposure, WrestleMania presents a significant opportunity for Ireland to strengthen its position as a leading destination for major event tourism.
The wider regional benefit to counties such as Kilkenny would be substantial, with strong potential for tourism spillover, increased domestic travel, and enhanced international visibility for Ireland’s secondary tourism destinations.
Ireland is well placed to present a credible and competitive bid for WrestleMania, given our strong international tourism brand, proven track record in hosting major events, and global reputation as a welcoming destination.”
WWE is currently in talks with Nashville as the city is interested in hosting WrestleMania 44.
