• AEW Could Sign WWE Hall Of Famer Next Month

Mick Foley could soon be making a major move in the wrestling world as his relationship with WWE comes to an end. The Hall of Famer has already made it clear that he plans to let his Legends contract expire this June, due to his public disagreement with how WWE and TKO have handled certain political ties.

Because he will soon be a free agent, AEW is very interested in bringing him in, according to The Takedown on SI.

While it is still unclear if All Elite Wrestling wants to sign him to a full contract or just have him make a special appearance, the timing couldn’t be better.

AEW is currently preparing for its Double or Nothing PPV in New York, which is right near Foley’s hometown of Long Island. Since the main event features another Long Island native, MJF, many insiders believe it would be the perfect moment for Foley to finally debut in an AEW ring.

• Update On When The John Cena Classic Might Take Place

WWE is still working out the details for the upcoming John Cena Classic, and while fans are excited, almost nothing is set in stone yet.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE hasn’t officially picked a date or a location for the event. However, some insiders think it would make a lot of sense to hold it in early December. That timing would fit perfectly with WWE’s busy schedule and would also mark exactly one year since Cena’s final match.

Even though the plans are still being developed, major players are already interested in the project. Netflix reportedly jumped at the chance to host the event on its streaming platform as soon as they heard about it.

While a deal hasn’t been signed and the actual format of the show is still a work in progress, it’s clear there is already a lot of buzz behind the scenes. For now, the event is still in the early planning stages as WWE tries to lock down the specifics.

Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has entered MMA and quickly become a rival to the UFC. MVP’s first MMA event on May 16 on Netflix features big names like Ronda Rousey, Gina Carano, Nate Diaz, Francis Ngannou, and others.

Paul and MVP heavily criticize the UFC for poor fighter pay and monopoly power. They promise better flat-rate contracts, with a minimum of $40,000 per fighter, and more opportunities. Paul has called the UFC a monopoly and claimed Dana White is checked out and no longer fully invested.

Dana White allegedly blacklisted fighters who join MVP. Paul positions MVP as a fighter-friendly alternative that challenges UFC dominance. The Netflix debut is seen by many as the start of real competition in MMA. Jake also claimed that UFC is a dying promotion.

On the Undefeated & Undisputed podcast, Jake Paul revealed that TKO Group Holdings (which owns both WWE and UFC) has banned him from attending WWE events:

“I don’t take any beefs too serious. I think it’s definitely in the name of entertainment. However, there is truth in it and there are points and some certain facts that I would like to see pushed through. Like the UFC fighter minimum pay being $12,000, that needs a rise.

There is all these like things in it that are serious. But from my side, I’m just having fun and the fact that one of the biggest organizations in the world, the TKO group, has this major beef with me. They won’t even let me go be in my brother’s WWE matches because they hate me so much. So it’s pretty wild how much under their skin we are.

To me, it’s just been a fun journey. I enjoy sh*t talk. Like when people make fun of me. I’m easy to make fun of. I’m able to make fun of myself. So the beef, to me, is just fun and entertaining for everybody.”

Before the feud with UFC began, Jake Paul was free to appear on WWE TV. He appeared at Crown Jewel 2022 (which was before WWE was sold) and even got involved in the Roman Reigns vs. Logan Paul match.

Logan Paul is currently the World Tag Team Champion on RAW with The Vision’s Austin Theory.
