• Ex-Champion Confirms WWE Departure
Former NXT Tag Team Champion Tyler Breeze has confirmed he is no longer under contract with WWE.
Earlier today, a fan commented that Breeze was still with WWE. Breeze replied simply: “No he’s not.” When asked for clarification, Breeze added: “I was under a deal with WWE. Not anymore.” A follow-up question about possibly joining AEW brought this response: “Would love to be a part of AEW.”
Breeze was originally released by WWE in 2021 but continued working with the company in non-wrestling roles, including appearances on the UpUpDownDown channel and contributions to the WWE video games. He also made a surprise in-ring return at NXT Homecoming in 2025.
He is now a free agent and continues to wrestle on the independent circuit while training talent at Flatbacks Wrestling School.

The Miz had his WWE debut match 20 years ago today on the September 1, 2006 episode of SmackDown. He defeated Tatanka on that night.
The former WWE Champion issued the following statement on completing two decades on the main roster:
“20 years ago today, I made my WWE in-ring debut.
Most said I wouldn’t last.
That aged well.
And the best part? I’m not done yet.
Still here. Still must-see. Still AWESOME.
