• Rey Mysterio Honored
San Diego City Councilman David Alvarez honored former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio yesterday by declaring June 19th (6/19 a.k.a 619) as Rey Mysterio Day in San Diego.
Below is the Press Release:
“Oscar Gutierrez, otherwise known as Rey Mysterio, is a professional wrestler, born and raised in South San Diego. Widely regarded as the greatest cruiserweight wrestler of all time, he is known for his high-flying Lucha Libre wrestling style and named his signature move ‘619’ (he is appropriately honored on June 19). Mysterio has won numerous wrestling championships and also continues to give back to the San Diego community by organizing and participating in various charity events.”
Below is what Mysterio wrote about this honor on Instagram:
“I am truly Humbled & Honored with the city of the 619 for officially naming today 6/19/18 Rey Mysterio Day! Im a blessed man and thankful with God for my journey & longevity A Sincere Thank You to all my Fans around the world for the support & unconditional love given through out my 28 yrs of career & please understand that without your support I would not be the Rey Mysterio I am today, much less receive the many attributes given to me like today’s!”

• RAW Star Out Of Action Due To Injuries
According to PWInsider, RAW wrestler Sami Zayn is now out of action with an injury. Zayn had been working injured for a while now and that’s why he was booked to take an easy loss to Bobby Lashley at Money In The Bank 2018 PPV this past Sunday night.
Zayn is now on his way to Birmingham, Alabama to get the injury examined.
Update: Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Zayn is dealing with shoulder and knee injuries.
