• Vince McMahon’s Reaction To NXT Being Heavily Featured On SmackDown
As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown, NXT was heavily featured on the show and this was done because majority of the top SmackDown stars couldn’t make it to the show.
According to WrestlingNewsco, Vince was impressed with this week’s SmackDown and was telling people backstage that they hit a home run.
Vince’s thinking is that they need to provide something better to the fans when they aren’t able to provide them with what was originally advertised, so that fans feel like they still got their money’s worth despite not seeing their favorite wrestlers in action, and Vince feels they delivered.
Vince re-wrote the show a few hours before it went on the air and Triple H had a lot of influence on this week’s show.
As we noted yesterday, this week’s episode of SmackDown on FOX drew 2.54 million viewers. This is up from previous week’s 888,000 viewers (last week’s episode of SmackDown aired on FS1 because of MLB World Series coverage on FOX).
