Becky Lynch Says Her Title Loss On RAW Was Illegal

On tonight’s episode of WWE RAW from Madison Square Garden in New York City, Becky Lynch lost the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Maxxine Dupri after a surprise return from AJ Lee.

The Man was not happy with the outcome of the match and claimed that AJ Lee’s lack of a manager’s license made the result illegal. Here’s what she said in a video with The New Day:

“She had no manager’s license. No manager and we are in the state of New York, which has an athletic commission. Therefore, anybody that comes out through the curtain should be verified by the athletic commission. AJ Lee was not verified by the athletic commission. Therefore, that was clearly a rigged match. Therefore, vis-a-vis hence the following: I do not recognize the outcome of that match.

I’m actually going to start a petition. I’m gonna get a lawsuit to overturn the result of this match.”

Becky tweeted the following later:

“Three letters: NML. No. Managers. License.

In the state of New York that is governed by the state athletic commission, a managers license must be attained for interfering parties to be allowed at ringside.

Therefore, hence, vis a vis, the outcome of this title match, which has been clearly rigged, is hereby under protest.

You will be hearing from my lawyer imminently. The changing of the side plates will result in a lawsuit.”

– Intercontinental Champion John Cena kicked off his final RAW at Madison Square Garden. Cena said this is the last time he can talk to the fans and he wants to take a second to…. and Dominik Mysterio’s music hit. Dirty Dom said nobody wants to hear what Cena has to say. Last week, Cena was handed a title shot, just like he has been handed everything in his career. Dom said he has fought for everything he has. Dom said he wants a rematch for “my” Intercontinental Championship. Cena said he’d like to ask New York City how they feel about this situation. Cena asked the fans if they want to see a title rematch right here, right now. Dom said no. Dom said they already did it Cena’s way and Cena had management on his side the last time, now they’re gonna do it Dom’s way. Fans chanted “shut the f**k up”. Dom challenged Cena to a title rematch at Survivor Series 2025 in San Diego. Cena accepted. John Cena (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship is official for Survivor Series 2025. This is going to be Cena’s final PLE match.

Cena said there’s one problem: he promised the fans he’d have a match tonight. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day came out and attacked Cena. This led to Sheamus and Rey Mysterio running out to make the save.

This leads to a 6-man tag team match. This is Cena’s final RAW match. In the end, Cena, Sheamus, and Rey hit the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. Rey hit Dom with 619, Sheamus hit Finn with the Brogue Kick, and Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on JD for the win.

While going to the back, Cena looked at the camera and said:

“Monday Night RAW… that’s all she wrote. Thank you. Love you.”

– Paul Heyman told Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce that if they are mad about him choosing Drew McIntyre for WarGames, wait until they see who’s the 5th member.

– WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella attacked Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer and said she’s coming to take her position at the top of the women’s division back, and wants a World Title match against Vaquer.

“I didn’t come back to cheer on the sidelines, I came back to take back what’s mine, and that’s this division. You will bow down to the woman who changed this entire industry, Nikki Bella.”

Later in the show, WWE announced Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Nikki Bella for the Women’s World Championship at Survivor Series 2025.

– Bayley said no to The Kabuki Warriors about joining their WarGames team.

– Dolph Ziggler (Nic Nemeth in TNA) returned as Solo Sikoa’s mystery opponent in the John Cena tournament.

– Solo Sikoa def. Dolph Ziggler to advance in The Last Time Is Now tournament

– Alexa Bliss came to the ring and talked about how Charlotte Flair has ignored all her calls and text messages. The Kabuki Warriors, Nia Jax and Lash Legend came out to attack Alexa, which led to Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY running out to make the save. The babyfaces go taken out, which led to Charlotte Flair running out with a kendo stick. Charlotte attacked Nia and Lash with the Kendo Stick. Charlotte picks up Alexa and fans chant “she’s your best friend.”

– Maxxine Dupri def. Becky Lynch (c) to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship

AJ Lee returned during the match, which distracted Becky.

– Gunther def. Je’Von Evans in The Last Time Is Now tournament

– AJ Lee put over Maxxine Dupri backstage. Rhea Ripley then met AJ and wants to talk to her.

– Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, “Big” Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre came out in the main event segment. Heyman said this is the greatest team ever put together for WarGames. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk then came out, followed by The Usos and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. A brawl broke out and Brock Lesnar returned! Lesnar took out Punk and Rhodes with suplexes. Roman Reigns then made his return! Reigns took out Lesnar with a vicious Superman Punch and Lesnar sold the hell out of it and went out of the ring. Bronson attacked Roman and went for the Tsunami, but Roman nailed another Superman Punch. NYPD interfered to stop the fight. Punk is choking Logan with a kendo stick. Roman speared Bronson through the barricade to end the show.
