McIntyre Calls Out Angle
McIntyre opens next week’s RAW by reminding the audience that he made Angle tap out, but that’s not enough. McIntyre calls out Angle because he wants to retire Kurt Angle!
Instead of Angle, Dolph Ziggler makes his way out and mocks McIntyre by saying that he’s 2-0 against Drew.
McIntyre is livid and he exits the ring to approach Ziggler on the stage, but Ziggler reveals that he has a lead pipe with him and McIntyre stops.
Ziggler is laughing at McIntyre stopping due to fear of getting attacked with a lead pipe and he’s suddenly attacked from behind by Bobby Lashley. Lashley and McIntyre then double team on Ziggler and powerbomb him through the announce table!
But that’s not enough. Lashley holds Ziggler up and places the lead pipe right against Ziggler’s head and McIntyre knocks out Ziggler with a lead pipe – Claymore Kick combination!
They end the segment by throwing Ziggler off the stage and then McIntyre sends a message to Angle that he’s going to do the same with him.
Kurt Angle Returns
Kurt Angle returns to RAW and he’s not happy with what McIntyre & Lashley did to Ziggler.
Angle proposes a tag team match (Angle/Ziggler vs. McIntyre/Lashley) and this leads to McIntyre coming out.
McIntyre asks Angle if he’s afraid of facing him in a singles match, because he should be as McIntyre plans to retire Angle. McIntyre challenges Angle to a match at the Royal Rumble 2019 PPV, but Angle refuses as he has other plans for that PPV – he’s entering the Men’s Royal Rumble match!
McIntyre laughs at the thought of Angle thinking he can win the Royal Rumble match, especially at this point in his career. Suddenly McIntyre gets attacked from behind by Ziggler and Ziggler is unleashing a vicious assault with a lead pipe.
The referees come out to pull Ziggler away and a tag team match is booked for next week’s RAW.
