The main event of the show is scheduled to be “The King of Strong Style” Shinsuke Nakamura defending his NXT Championship against Samoa Joe. This will be Joe’s Title rematch (as he lost the Title to Nakamura at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II).
WWE might have spoiled the result of this NXT Title rematch while making the announcement of NXT coming to Japan on December 3. Below is what WWE posted:
The NXT Universe in Japan will get a chance to witness NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and NXT Women’s Champion Asuka back in their home country. Though both performed at WWE’s Live Events in Tokyo last July, this will be the first time that Nakamura will return home as NXT Champion. Also performing will be Samoa Joe, Hideo Itami and Bobby Roode.
It should be noted that WWE is promoting that Nakamura would still be the NXT Champion going into this Live Event in Japan (which takes place on December 3, while NXT Takeover: Toronto is on November 19). This would mean that Nakamura would successfully defend his Title against Joe at the next Takeover event (which shouldn’t come as a surprise to many).
