• Details On WWE’s Plan For WrestleMania Week In Saudi Arabia
WWE confirmed today in an event in Las Vegas that Saudi Arabia will become the third country to host a WrestleMania. WrestleMania 43 will take place in the Kingdom in 2027.
A lot of big stars are expected to be a part of the event.
PWInsider is reporting that WWE will receive a “mind-blowing” amount of money from Saudi Arabia for the event. The company plans to have all the usual events for WrestleMania week, including RAW, SmackDown and the Hall Of Fame ceremony in Riyadh.
It is unknown if NXT will be a part of the first ever international WrestleMania week as sources stated it is too early to put plans into place.

WrestleMania 43 is heading to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2027 and is already shaping up to be one of the biggest shows ever. WWE is looking at bringing back some of its biggest stars for the The Showcase Of Immortals.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that a name which has been discussed for the event is Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Sources close to the Saudi Arabian side have been told that the WWE Hall of Famer wants to be sure he’s completely healthy and ready before agreeing to wrestle.
The Texas Rattlesnake last stepped inside the ring at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, where he defeated Kevin Owens in the main event of Night 1.

WWE NXT General Manager Ava, daughter of The Rock, took to Instagram following the assassination to share a screenshot of a tweet stating:

Many supporters of Kirk saw this as a reference to his demise and called out the NXT GM on Instagram and X.
She later responded to the backlash with the following tweet:

WWE made the historic announcement about WrestleMania 43 being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this afternoon. Triple H, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer gathered in Las Vegas for the event.
A lot of fans have spoken against WWE’s decision to hold The Grandest Stage Of Them All in Saudi Arabia due to concerns over the country’s human rights record and the perception that the event could be used for sportswashing. They also feel that other cities like London deserve the event more.
AEW President Tony Khan capitalized on the opportunity to promote his company’s upcoming shows amid fan backlash over WWE’s announcement.
He posted the following on X:

RIYADH SEASON TO MAKE HISTORY BY HOSTING WRESTLEMANIA 43 IN 2027

September 12, 2025-WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), in partnership with The General Entertainment Authority (GEA), on behalf of HE Turki Alalshikh, today announced that Riyadh Season will host WrestleMania 43 in 2027 in Riyadh, marking the first time that the cultural phenomenon will be staged outside of North America.
