• Edge’s Status For John Cena’s Final Match Ahead Of LA Knight vs. Surprise Opponent

The Last Time Is Now tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent is set to kick off this Monday night. The first-round matches on RAW next week will feature Rusev vs. Damian Priest and Sheamus vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, while SmackDown will see LA Knight vs. a surprise opponent and Jey Uso vs. The Miz.

WWE has teased that “faces from other companies” could appear in the tournament, which sparked fan speculation that Cena’s long-time rival Edge (Adam Copeland), currently under contract with AEW, might be involved.

However, an Edge return will not be happening. Fightful Select reports that the WWE Hall of Famer was never under consideration for Cena’s farewell run. It was never discussed, never planned and will not be happening.

As noted previously, WWE teased this possibility just to generate buzz and hype around Cena’s farewell tournament.

• 2 RAW Stars Expected To Return Soon

The Creed Brothers have been absent from RAW since the July 21st episode, where they lost a Triple Threat #1 Contender’s match for the World Tag Team Championship to the Latino World Order.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, The Creed Brothers are expected to return soon, but it’s still unknown when or in what role they’ll come back.

Julius and Brutus Creed have wrestled on some recent Main Event episodes. They were defeated by The War Raiders in a televised Main Event match on October 13th.

Their most recent outing was a dark match loss to Los Americanos during the October 20th Main Event taping.

• WWE Planning To Retire PLEs Created By Vince McMahon

WWE runs several Premium Live Events throughout the year, with some adjustments to the schedule each time. However, the majority of these events, particularly the major ones like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series and Royal Rumble, were originally conceptualized and introduced under Vince McMahon’s leadership.

Speaking on The Main Event with Andrew Marchand, TKO President Mark Shapiro discussed the company’s evolving approach to event branding, revealing that WWE is now focused on moving beyond concepts created by McMahon.

“They never seem exhausted. They’re ready to take on a new shot, a new risk, a new opportunity. ‘Hey, Nick, let’s talk about launching a new event.’

Right now, a lot of our PLEs were created by Vince McMahon. We need to get in the business of taking that torch and moving past that, and Nick (Khan) and Triple H created Wrestlepalooza, which is the launch event for our new ESPN deal, which did incredibly well and may turn into a superfranchise.

Not to mention from a merch standpoint, I don’t need to tell you, securing the I.P. rights and then selling merch at Wrestlepalooza, let’s just say it was a real winner.”

Since Vince McMahon’s departure from the company in 2024, WWE has gradually moved away from several of his long-standing ideas and traditions.

With Shapiro’s latest comments, it appears that some of McMahon’s signature Premium Live Events could be next on the list as the company continues to modernize its presentation under the leadership of Nick Khan and Triple H.

• “A WWE individual hates seeing a black successful entrepreneur” – Westside Gunn After Being Removed From RAW (Photo)

American rap star and pro wrestling fan Westside Gunn has shared an emotional statement about feeling overlooked and mistreated by WWE despite years of loyal support. Gunn detailed spending significant money on front-row seats and luxury suites, integrating the company into his music and promoting it to others. Here’s what he wrote on X:

“Before I even say this just know GOD IS THE GREATEST

For YEAAAAAARS I mean NOBODY w/ 2 feet has spent the amount of $ I have supporting and pushing a brand I’ve loved since I could remember, I sat front row at EVERY BIG SHOW literally, all the good times it brought to my life to the point when I started making music i incorporated in everything like WU TANG did karate, I made ppl who hated the product watch it again I made it look kool, when at the time ppl thought it was nerdy.

I’ve watched that same company sit countless of ppl next to me who’s not even fans fr and act like I didn’t exist, I was threatened to take everything out of my music which I only did to pay homage or my whole catalog would be demolished and everybody knows how hard I worked coming from Buffalo for me to get that threat for just supporting and being a real fan hurted me but I stayed quiet and still like a krazy man sat front row bc I loved the culture, I even just went viral for spending 50k on suites.. on my soul I’ve only been respectful.

I tried having conversations with 1 individual bc he’s causing all of these unnecessary cases and tbh he hates seeing a young black successful entrepreneur that could afford those seats and have to watch those chains dance across that screen to the point Monday night raw starts at 8pm I was kicked out by 803 after spending 5k for a seat plus travel, hotel etc…. in my own city for absolutely NOTHING!!!!

No lie the kid in me heart broke that day… I put the billboard up that MILLION DOLLAR MAN billboard up which he loves and I wanted to push him in the culture bc he deserves it and to shOW VIRGIL love for the culture I get a letter saying ………: so I said u know what I’m a show love only to the ppl that show love to me from now on… so u don’t have to worry about me pushing that product over there again, and it’s sad bc i still love them but I have my own company 4THROPE and yea we’re the underdogs but we love this sh*t, it’s not about money.

We’re gonna keep pushing culture and I’m honored to have @joshbishop187 on the trilogy cover bc he deserves it for believing in me from day one as my first official wrestler… ❤️ #HEELSHAVEEYES #SUPPORTART”
