8. Real Reason Behind Goldberg Defeating Brock Lesnar In Record Time
There’s a rumor going on that Goldberg was booked in a very short match with Brock Lesnar because he was injured. Goldberg noted in an interview last week that he tweaked his shoulder during his face-to-face confrontation with Brock Lesnar on Raw.
However, that’s not the case. The reason why Goldberg was booked in a short match was to ensure that he doesn’t get injured and that he could wrestle a few more matches in 2017 (as he has signed a new deal with WWE, which we’ll discuss in the upcoming points in this article). A wrestler normally gets injured after he returns to in-ring action after a long time (The Rock got injured during his WrestleMania 28 & 29 bouts), and those chances increase substantially when you’re in the ring with Brock Lesnar.
Chances of a third match between Goldberg & Lesnar are very high!
