In her Players’ Tribune article, former WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair opened up about the heartbreak she’s experienced in the past year with ex-husband Andrade. Flair recalled the optimism she felt in late 2023. After spending years wrestling in different companies, the couple was finally set to be on the road together in WWE. Andrade was scheduled to return at the 2024 Royal Rumble, and Flair was envisioning a new chapter for their marriage:

“I was filling up with these hopeful thoughts of our relationship getting stronger… of us having kids, and starting a family… maybe even all of us traveling on the road one day, and making towns together.”

However, everything changed when she tore her knee in December. Flair described the emotional fallout, saying she felt “totally f***ing shattered” and suffered a full-blown panic attack backstage. That moment marked the start of what she called a year where “everything was coming apart.”

In February, Flair began her fertility journey. She revealed she went through four rounds and five total attempts in 2023, but with no success. As she fought to heal both physically and emotionally, she admitted the process left her “spiritually exhausted.” Meanwhile, her marriage to Andrade began to unravel, and she soon found herself heading into a third divorce.

Flair didn’t shy away from the pain but made it clear she’s not giving up. She shared a quiet fantasy of a future where, after a main event match, she returns to her tour bus to find her young children waiting. “They don’t know if she won the match or lost,” she wrote. “Really, the only things they know are that they love her and they’re excited to see her. Because she’s their mom.”
