According to the Fired Up podcast, while WWE officials are discussing doing Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35 (which was rumored to main event WrestleMania 35 at one point), WWE officials are also negotiating with current UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg for a match against Rousey at WrestleMania 35.

Rousey vs. Cyborg was a dream fight for MMA fans, but it never went down and fans didn’t care for it once Rousey was defeated in UFC.

Cyborg has expressed interest in coming to WWE in the past.

During an interview with TMZ Sports back in July, Cyborg was asked about facing Rousey in WWE and below is what she said:

“You know some fans ask me that like, ‘how crazy would it be to fight Ronda Rousey in WWE?’ To watch the fight that never happened. I say maybe, you know. It’s not something I have planned but if it’s something the fans would like to watch. I didn’t train for that, but I think it would be great.”

Cyborg (age 33) has an MMA record of 20-1-1. Her next fight in UFC will be on December 29, 2018 at UFC 232, where she will face the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes (the woman to knocked out Ronda Rousey in Ronda’s final UFC fight) in a ‘Super Fight’ where Cyborg’s UFC Women’s Featherweight Title will be on the line.
