• Las Vegas’ Expected Payout To WWE For WrestleMania 42 Revealed

While WrestleMania 42 has already been officially announced for Las Vegas, the city’s financial commitment to hosting WWE’s biggest event of the year hasn’t been finalized yet – and it’s reportedly a massive one.

According to a new report from CDC Gaming, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is considering a proposal to spend $6 million to support the two-night event, which will take place at Allegiant Stadium on April 18-19, 2026. The deal would help secure WWE’s weeklong slate of shows and tourism-driving events tied to WrestleMania weekend.

If approved, the payout would make WrestleMania 42 one of the most lucrative sports entertainment partnerships in LVCVA history. The board of directors is expected to review and vote on the expenditure at their next meeting on Tuesday.

WWE’s return to Las Vegas comes after the massive success of WrestleMania 41, which also took place at Allegiant Stadium earlier this year. That event drew 124,000 fans over two nights and generated an estimated 140,000 hotel room nights, giving Las Vegas one of its biggest tourism surges of 2025.

WWE’s presence also extended far beyond the stadium, with additional events like RAW, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, and the fan festival “WWE World” filling venues across the city.

Now, with WrestleMania officially returning to Sin City for the second consecutive year – the first time WWE has repeated a host city since 1989 – the LVCVA wants to ensure the company brings its full week of festivities back in 2026.

City officials reportedly see the $6 million figure as a marketing investment, aimed at showcasing Las Vegas as a premier global destination for mega-events. WrestleMania’s proven ability to attract international visitors and drive hotel and casino revenue makes it a valuable addition to the city’s sports calendar, alongside the Super Bowl, F1 Grand Prix, and UFC events.
