Multiple sources have confirmed that former Divas Champion AJ Lee is returning to WWE after 10 years for a match at Wrestlepalooza on September 20. WWE Shop has spoiled AJ’s return as well. Below is a Twitter exchange between a fan and WWE Shop’s account:
Fan: “Hey @wweshop WHERE’S THE AJ LEE MERCH!??! What am i meant to wear on Friday when i watch Smackdown??? NORMAL CLOTHES?!?!”
WWE Shop: “Hey there! Of course, we wouldn’t expect that. With AJ Lee’s return to the ring, we are looking to have some (fire emoji) gear hopefully in time for Wrestlepalooza. Be sure you’re signed up for emails and get the latest updates on new live inventory. Happy shopping!”
The WWE Shop account deleted their tweet later, but below is a screenshot:

During an interview with The Wrestling Classic in February, Naomi said she will not retire until AJ Lee returns. Reacting to what she said, Naomi tweeted:
“If she returns while I’m out yall will witness the crash out of the century on this app.”
Naomi recently vacated the Women’s World Championship due to her pregnancy.
CM Punk will appear on this Friday’s SmackDown in Chicago. According to Fightful Select, AJ will either return in person this Friday, or at least be acknowledged on the show in some way.
Matt Riddle Makes Controversial Remark About AJ Lee
Matt Riddle stirred up fresh controversy during his appearance on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, this time for comments about former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee.
While discussing his ongoing issues with CM Punk, Riddle said he had no direct problem with Punk’s wife but then added a remark that quickly raised eyebrows.
“AJ, you know, I have no problems with her. She never stepped into it,” Riddle said. “I mean, to be fair, and I’m not one to talk – I’m a little f*cked up myself – but she did go get around from what I heard. But no disrespect to that.”
He followed up by clarifying that he wasn’t holding anything against her personally:
“Hey, it’s whatever. People like to hook up, people like to hook up. And if that’s the worst thing he did, whatever, dude. I’ve done it too. But yeah, no ill will towards anybody else.”
The comment came as part of a wider tirade against CM Punk, whom Riddle called “fake” and a “creep.” Still, his comment about AJ Lee is likely to spark discussion among fans, given her respected reputation and long-standing absence from wrestling.
