• Old School WWF Legend Celebrates His Birthday

Old School World Wrestling Federation Legend “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas (Real name: Anthony White) celebrates his birthday today.

Atlas wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation from 1984 until 1986, but returned to the WWF as “Saba Simba” in August 1990, but the new character only lasted till the 1991 Royal Rumble.

Tony also had a short stint in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling, that lasted from October 1992 to February 1993.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006 by his friend, fellow WWF Veteran S.D. Jones.

• Old School Wrestling Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the birthday of Old School Wrestling Legend Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy.

He’s mostly remembered as a member of The Fabulous Freebirds and got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with other Freebirds Michael Hayes, Buddy Roberts & Jimmy Garvin in 2016.

However, Terry Gordy was last seen on WWF TV in 1996-1997 under a mask as The Executioner, feuding with the legendary Undertaker.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (April 23, 1991) – Old School WWF Jobber Passed Away

On this day in 1991, we lost Old School WWF Jobber Frankie Williams (Real name: Armando Pumarejo) at the age of 51 due to lung cancer.

Frankie Williams was a well known enhancement talent on World Wrestling Federation TV from 1975 until 1985, and did the jobs for most of the big names from those years.

He’s also well remembered for a famous Piper’s Pit episode, where Roddy eventually beat him.
